...whats wrong with shooting wolves? Essientially we'd be saving them by removing excess wolf numbers and giving the lower numbers a better chance to hunt and thrive.

I support this. I personally would enjoy wolf hunting, but only for Gray wolves. I love wolves, but I acknowledge that hunting is really quite necessary. There's a lot of grays. They're taking over red wolf habitats, so...-shrug- If we want all species to survive, sacrifices can be made. Now before you start attacking and flaming and making me feel like I should die (which isn't really a stretch for people), consider this: If we want all species to survive, and one subspecies is taking over the home of a more endangered species, it wouldn't be easy to relocate an entire pack.

They do, in some places. Besides, its not just the wolf species. If you let the wolves overpopulate a region, they would kill off a large number of the prey in that area. They'd eventually starve from lack of food if there was too many wolves in one given region. So why not sacrifice a few for the good of many?

I'm not trying to start a fight but it still sickens me to think of any wolf being killed.My goal in life is to save at least 10 wolves and own a wolf center.But ill try to save Ethiopian Wolves from being killed.And others i would like to too.

Grey wolves are becoming overpopulated in many places. They need to have the numbers brought down.
The hunting of grey wolves is actually saving them. If they are not hunted, they would eat all the food, and starve.
I honestly think a few being killed off is better than hundreds slowly starving to death...
