My geriatric 17y/o cat will approach everyday objects, like a sock or laptop wire, look at it intensely and then proceed to gently tap it with a paw. He also did that to my foot which was poking out from under my bedroom door when I had opened it to let him in.
He's getting old, bless him, so his behaviour is somewhat odd.

My youngest cat is 9 months old and has an obsession with my bra... he will always find it and when I get home he will be sleeping in one of the cups or trying to eat the straps.
I have long given up trying to get it back because it doesn't matter how any times i hide it he will always find it.

When I cry, my forty pound mutt tries to lay on my face. Which sounds sweet, but between the snot, fur, and forty pounds of dog, I'm really just being smothered.
