Granted, we still are probably lucky. Dogs like her are notorious for being pretty hard to control.

Alof people have this problem and there can be things to fix it and things that may cause it, so if you dont mind answering a few questions i can try to figure it out ^^

She knows basic commands, but usually will only do them whenever she actually feels like it. She is incredibly easy to teach thing too, but only when she actually wants to.

Ok, does she knows tricks such as:
Easy,
Leave it,
stay,
or come?

Also, if she loves toys, those are always a good distraction.

She knows them, but completely ignores them if there is something she really wants. Then she usually ends up grabbing it, bolting, and hiding somewhere.

*sigh* Such is life with coyote mixes. At least she's not aggressive, I suppose.

Well, id advise not to leave your food un attended, and does this coyote mix have a kennel?
Also, i have the same problem with my dog, and i learned to just not leave everything out in the open, but there are ways to teach them. Like if you teach them "NO!" They will know not to, but you will have to say it right before the food, item, etc. is set out. :3

I'd agree with this, as you don't want to set your dog up to fail. I happen to have a overly prey driven dog who will go insane at the site of a cat, squirrel, toy, etc. We had to learn about a thing called "Threshold". When a dog is over its threshold they'll be reacting and you aren't going to get their attention. So you create space in between your dog and the stimulus, move away from it until they're under threshold then work on tricks. Slowly move closer and rewarding them for not reacting.

I also use premack. If he wants the toy, but is going crazy over it, the moment he stops and calms down I saw "Yes!" and let him get the toy. So he eventually learns that controlling himself gets him rewards.

As for tricks he knows... I'll try to start listing them
Sit(Sitz)
Lay(Platz)
Stay(Bleib)
Down
Off
Heel (Fuß)
Recall (Hier)
Rollover
Bang (play dead)
Shake
Point
Crawl
Stop
Kiss (bump you with his nose)
Spin
Orbit
Get Up
Hold It (standing on two legs)
Get It
Drop it/Out (Aus)
Stand
Get Up
Get Around (Right Heel finish)
Go Out
Speak
Uff
Gib Laut
Search
Go potty
Enough
Touch
Target
Wait
Blow (blows bubbles in a bowl)
Work
Over
Jump
Tunnel
Teeter
A-Frame
Dog Walk
Weave
Come
Tire
Go(A release command in Dock Jumping)
Back
Enough
Leave it
Right
Left
Easy
Move
And there's more I just can't think of right now...

Big gal you got there! My boy is about 67lbs but he's very slender and stream-line. He's also 2 years old. He learned most of those by the time he was 1 1/2. Just putting a lot of work into him and I'm an assistant dog trainer at a animal shelter so I have a bit more knowledge under my belt.

Also there's a typo in my post it should say "I agree" not "I'd agree" lol

Do you think you can help me train my Mini Fox terrier? She knows how to get off a bed or couch but she doesn't do it if she doesn't want to. Is there any way I can fix this?

So cute. :)

What do you do? Do you just tell her to get down, move her, etc.?

I say 'off' and, if she doesn't respond, I put her down. Every time she gets in trouble she hides behind me, so she's not scared of me. I take her for walks alot, too, so she can play with my friends' three chihuahuas. Well, two. The third one is 14 years old in human years and doesn't really like anyone.
