What is your source??? I don't know any hunters that would go into a wolf den to shoot pups for the heck of it. Also I don't know how many attacks there have been but there have been plenty of people found dead due to animal attack over the years and wolves were suspected but there is no way to PROVE it was wolves because the bodies have been picked at by scavangers. There was a case I read about in Canadian geographic where wolves dragged a kid out of a tent durring a camping trip. The kid didn't die but he was still attacked.
I love wolves, I think they are beautiful but they are PREDATORS, not fluffly little cuddle bugs. They are to be left alone like any other wild animal.

actually there is many species.
You obviously don't know much about wolves if you don't know that. I do not see how you can call yourself a wolf lover if you know nothing about them...
Art/Character © Me
I couldn’t count on anyone to stand there behind me
And keep the dogs from dragging me off with them
While I slept you crept in and pulled the rug right out from under me
Then the rain stole away and took the parts that kept me functioning
My heart will be blacker than your eyes when I’m through with you

on a lighter note, I know someone who runs an organization called 'Wolf Warriors' who got to speak on the radio about wolves. It was nice to hear good things about them and for people to not only realize they are good creatures; but also can sometimes hurt people.

I have no problem with wolves. To me, they're just another interesting creature on a planet full of billions of other intresting creatures.
I have a problem with people who think wolves are the best thing ever, who think that hunters and farmers deserve to be killed 'becuz dey hurt teh bootiful wolfs'.

Wolves are beautiful and intelligent and ect.
However, they CAN kill people. They HAVE killed people. I'm not trying to "big bad wolf"-ify them all, deer can and have killed people also.
People don't have a problem with wolves, people have a problem with the rabid, ignorant wolf fans who equalliate a life of a human to that of a canine.
People kill wolves with a set of regulations and such. Their's a certian amount you're allowed to kill and a vast majority of hunters don't get that many. They're killed as humanely as possible and doing so helps regulate the population. It's much less cruel than them starving to death from them over-eating the elk, getting ill and being left to die, or killed by some other non-human animal. It's all for the good of the species.
