ooo yes this is a good thread idea

I love every single animal. If you just look at one for long enough, there are so many interesting things about them to appreciate!!

Today I was thinking about how cool/beautiful/adorable crabs are.

You might enjoy the Youtube video series of a crab eating various stuff

Personally, I think sea slugs, spiders, and beetles are underrated. They're some of the most varied and most gorgeous species on this planet, so it's a shame to see them pushed aside because 'ew, bugs' or 'ew, slugs'

Definitely tarantulas! I own 3!
Theyre very low maintenance (meaning you basically never have to change substrate, i only do once or twice a year) and most only require a heat pad on the bottom. Also they dont need huge tanks, I have 3 separate 10 gallons and thats plenty.
They dont eat expensive food, and dont require upgrades (because they dont grow large) like snakes and turtles do.

Livestock animals in general are incredibly underrated. Throughout history, cattle/chickens/pigs .etc. have clothed us and fed us and continue to do so to this day, but nobody fawns over cows the way they do horses and nobody bats an eye when turkeys are mistreated for their thanksgiving dinner.

I just wish they got more credit for all they do and that in turn they were given better lives. I wish it were more of a priority than it currently is.

I think Ravens & Crows are still part of the underrated animals, I'm hoping to own one someday ( which will take long time, since it's hard to own a wild bird here, but I believe can do it) and prove people that they are not as bad as they think, because where I live people still think of them in a bad way. :,> They are just puppies in a bird's clothing.

They also love playing in the snow.. <3

Tarantulas, pigeons (I dunno why but they seem to get quite a bit of hate?), mantids, coyotes, snakes (In my opinion, they get too much hate too), crows, quolls, bilbies, octopi and squids. Might come back to add more when I'm not half asleep.

Snakes are starting to get more love slowly, which I'm glad about!
