yeh, they have a "if I do________I get nummies". trained seals and dolphins can do that too.
Actually, most Hollywood "wolves" are actually Siberian Huskies or Alaskan Malamutes (usually mals - larger and more tractable than Sibes), not wolves or wolf hybrids at all. It's still a non-excuse, though.

are you sure? in my instruction booklet for the old PC game Wolf, one of the wolves in it was named after a buffalo wolf who was at a santuary who was in a movie
so, they used Malimutes for Dances with wolves?

VERY RARELY in movies, they do use real wolves. (which I find completely cruel and ignorant) But more often then not they are a domesticated breed or a mix. But when they do use real wolves, often times they only have one or possibly two and if there are others they are usually animated.

I personally think that Dog/Wolf hybrids aren't WRONG, but not 'good', either. If nobody had the thought to try and befriend a wild dog long ago, then we wouldn't have domestic dogs. Only people who have the space and are willing to cater to the animal's every need should even consider getting a hybrid, and I don't think they should be deliberately bred.

Well, we could've chased the wolves away or just done something else with the garbage. Either way, we decided to try to befriend the wild dogs instead of killing or chasing them off, and had we not there would be no Malamutes or Chihuahuas.

Ah. The Wolf hyrbids.
I personally find no fault with them. I admit I think they are beautiful and I would love to have one as a pet but I find that completely unrealistic and find Siberian Huskies an d even Alaskan Malamutes to be as "wolfish" as a real domestic pet can get.
Wolf dogs are dangerous at times. Personally I think that lady was crazy for having an entire pack of them. Maybe one or two, but nine?
I think that it is okay i it happens by accident because that is not the fault of the owner and it's defientley not a stray animals' fault that they have an instinct to breed. But if they are bred on purpose, that is what I hate. NO one should purposely breed a domesticated breed like a Husky with an unpredicatable wolf on purpose? I'm not even sure it's legal to own wolves in most countries.
Wolf-dogs I have to agree, are beautiful and wonderful but breeding a wolf with a domestic dog does not work like this.
Wolf + dog = Cool looking domestic animal.
It most likely works like this.
Wolf + dog = Cool looking animal that will tear your cat's face off as soon as it's alone.
