Here is my post: I love sharks. They are one of my favorite animals, and I am saddened when people flinch whenever I say the words "great white shark." Many sharks are harmless- only a few are truly dangerous. When shark attacks do happen, the sharks usually mistake you for a seal, as they don't have great vision and people on surfboards look like seals from underneath. Also, more people are killed by dogs than sharks. Sharks are really misjudged, and are killed not only out of fear but for shark fin soup. The process to fin the shark is really cruel to the animal and some sharks are becoming endangered because of it. The shark is first caught and it is finned alive, then tossed back into the ocean to die slowly. I think that sharks should be treated more fairly. :Y

I made a thread called shark debate (soul surfer) You should check it out and post there. I'm not saying it's wrong to make a new thread because TECHNICALLY mine isn't about your favorite sharks and what not, but the posts might interest you.

I love sharks! Ever since Jaws came out. I believe they need global protection and that "shark finning" needs to stop.
