hi! so i have a handful of retired store item sets that i haven't really ended up using, so i thought they might make good prizes for an art competition!

✿ MAIN COMPETITION ✿
i have a d&d character who is very close to my heart, who i desperately want to write about once i have a spare moment, but i do not currently have any artwork of her! so whilst i don't have references, i will try to give you a detailed visual description of her! i'm pretty much mostly looking for art of her, but i will also put a list of some other characters or extras that you could draw also/instead in a later post!

competition ends: June 20th 2025 at midday CS time (though I may extend it due to lack of entries/if participants agree on wanting more time <3

✿ RULES ✿
all regular cs art rules apply! absolutely no AI or art theft!
please only submit serious entries! i'd also prefer them to be coloured, but at the very least, more than just a sketch!
(you can use bases only provided the creator is happy for it to be used to enter competitions - please obviously credit them!)
digital or traditional art are both fine (but make sure it's a reasonable quality scan for traditional art!)
you can enter as many pieces as you'd like, but each participant can only win one prize!
once the contest is judged, please be ready to reply promptly about your choice of prize!

✿ PRIZES ✿
the top 4 entries will each recieve one of the following retired store item sets:
✿ - 2021 pot plant set
✿ - 2022 terrarium set
✿ - 2024 pale ruins set
✿ - 2025 coastal punk set
obviously with first place getting first choice, second getting second choice etc.
(a new store set will be released between now and the competition end; if there are enough entries, i will also purchase it and add it to the list of prizes <3)
i can't link the sets individually but you can find proof that i own them all in my item collection!
all entries also get to pick any three pets from this group! (if there are too many entries, i will add more pets or offer c$ instead)

✿ LAOIRSE ✿
unfortunately i do not have an art reference! i will give as detailed a description as i can, but if you have any questions or anything you'd like clarified, please let me know!!
✿ looks ✿
Laoirse is a hexblood halfling, and circle of the shephard druid. she is very short, even for a halfling, standing about 2'6", with pale green skin thanks to her fey heritage. her features are also somewhat doll-like, with large, round, hazel eyes (/eye...) and delicate facial features. her hair is long, down past her waist, and slightly wavy; she has a blunt, full fringe with little wispy face framing pieces and an 'apple stem'*, and wears the rest of her hair in two loose braids.
the most vital features for the character are: she is missing her left eye, and instead has a healed, empty socket; and she has a permanent eldercross/witch's turn, a flower crown formed from twigs and white camelia flowers that grows from her head. just generally, given the influence of a hag's magic on her, her appearance is a little bit strange and fey - think like, her eyes are a little too large, her ears are very long and pointed (slanting downwards), her fingers are slightly too long and her teeth are a little too sharp.
* think that little extra piece of hair that sticks up from the centre of the head on a lot of anime characters; i think it's properly called ahoge or idiot hair, but i've always thought of it like an apple stem <3
✿ outfit ✿
her clothing is all relatively simply - think 16th century english peasant! you're welcome to come up with your own things, but generally she sticks to neutral colours and more modest styles. she typically wears a linen shift, cream wool dress and leather bodice, with leather boots, and a golden moth brooch. if you want to also draw her 'gear', she has a leather satchel backpack, a wooden shield carved with flowers, and a simple scimitar.
✿ personality ✿
(5e d&d stats: str 6 / dex 16 / con 12 / int 6 / wis 17 / cha 15)
Laoirse is not the brightest, but is very intuitive and inquisitive! she likes to learn about the world around her, and is especially fond of animals and plants. she's reasonably good at making friends, though she does tend to blurt out some questionable aspects of her upbringing, and she doesn't know how money works at all. she's not the most competent fighter, but has some training with a sword by virtue of protecting her village from 'evil fey creatures'. she also has access to druidic magic, and can wildshape into a variety of creatures. she prefers playing more of a support role, healing and helping her allies and working to facilitate whatever they want, no matter what!
she's a very good cook, so long as she sticks to simple, hearty meals and baked goods. she also likes to try out other hobbies - sewing, weaving, leatherwork, woodcarving - despite not being the best at it! her favourite food is apple fritters <3
her favourite thing in the world is folk festivals - the singing, dancing, games and bonfires are a big part of life for her! she is also a big believer in fate and destiny - from when she was small, her mother insisted she was destined for something great, and so she now refuses to make a single decision herself, choosing instead to let fate guide her wherever it wants to!

the following sections are to give you some details of optional extras or alternative characters to draw! (i'll try to keep adding more when i can; if you have questions about any of them let me know!

✿ LAOIRSE'S SPIRITS ✿
as a shepherd druid, laoirse loves animals and is also able to turn into them! her favourite wildshape is a giant goat or a giant owl, and whilst wildshaped, her fur/feathers remain pale green, and she has small white flowers growing all over her!
she can also summon three spirts to help out in combat, which take the form of shimmery green animals: a wild boar, a robin, and an eel.

✿ MOTHER ✿

laoirse's village all worship a strange deity who goes by 'mother' - a green hag masquerading as a goddess, who raised laoirse since she was a toddler. mother appears as an older woman with dark hair and golden eyes, dressed in warm autumnal colours and carrying baskets of fresh autumn fruits, vegetables and flowers. she has moth wings, and glows with faint torchlight. in her 'true form', she appears as an elderly, green-skinned creature with white hair and a crown of twigs and brambles.

✿ THE OTHER LAOIRSES ✿
so... laoirse's 'mother' has always been insistant on having children. before laoirse arrived in the village, she constructed monstrous creatures out of animal parts and plants, all named laoirse. none of these creations survive longer than a month, but laoirse befriends them all anyway and considers them her dearest sisters. they can look like any kind of strange chimera-plant monster, but a few ideas for them include:

• a mound of shifting bird bones and feathers
• a hairless, giant rabbit with rows of sharp teeth like a shark
• a many-headed lizard creature bound up with vines
• a wicker goat that oozes strange liquid and burns from within
