Welcome to this thread! Are you interested in winning a few pets and learning a ton of skills? This is the contest for you! We are looking for the most favourable signature voted by CS users. Anyone can join this competition regardless of your skill level. Without further adeu, here is how it works!


The contest will be split up into 2 rounds. Each user will be added into a group with a minimum of 6 other users and a maximum of 8 users. Each user will have one signature to compete against other users and their applications, which will be on display in the poll above. The idea is to obtain votes from the CS userbase (unbiasly) to push you through to the next round.


There will be a group of 8 users, and two groups of 6 users.
This is fair to ensure each group has nice round numbers.
The top 4 users from the group 8 will go to round 2.
The top 3 from the 6 user groups will also go to round two.
Round two will be a 10 user group, where the winner,
second, third and forth placings will be given.
Everyone else will be given participation pets.


As you apply, your name will be added on the list below. This list will continue to stay there until the full round has ended. It will then be added on as round 2 happens.

How to obtain votes!

Click the heading for advice from yours truly.
Obtaining votes is easy. You are allowed one link in your signature which must link to this thread saying 'signature competition' and nothing else. From there, if someone likes your signature, they can vote for you! Note: You must link to this thread regardless with the signature you applied for the round with.
The contest will start when 8 people have applied! I will be accepting other applications after the first initial 8 people for round 1.

The following is a list of thread rules. You must follow them, as a watcher or as a competitor.

• No negativity on this thread, this includes being a sore loser, spam, negative criticism to someones signature.
  
• Do not ask for signature comments here. Please consider the Signature Fanclub or the forum games which are signature based instead. You can comment on other signatures however if you want to. Please note I will not ever do this.
  
• You must make your signature yourself. Do not ask for help on Digitally Distinct. Note: You can still use resources listed there. (Do not use the layouts on the thread!)
• New!: YOU MUST MAKE A NEW SIGNATURE FOR THIS CONTEST. DO NOT USE AN OLD ONE.
• Do not ask me for comments on your signature, I am a neutral person and will not be making comments on anyone's signature. With that said, I am not entering this contest either. This is purely based on CS users and how they like a signature.
• You must have a link to this thread in the signature you choose to submit with the link title called 'Signature Contest'. Having anything else will cause you to be disqualified.
• Each group will have the poll up for 2 DAYS It will be a very quick going competition depending on how many people apply.
• You are allowed to mark the thread.
• Re-voting will not be abled. Please think wisely before you choose whose signature you like the most!
• Commissioned signatures are NOT ALLOWED. You must make them yourself.
• One vote per user. This will not change. I will not vote.
• NEW! DO NOT MINIMOD. You will be disqualified if you do.
• Offsite advertising is allowed. I cannot control how you advertise offsite, but please be respectful.
Please note, I can add rules when they are needed.


The following is to ensure that everyone gets the same treatment.

• You will only have one signature for your application. New rule due to request.
  
• If you wish to send a screenshot, please post it on this thread. If you have gifs, please find some sort of recording software to record said gifs. Gifcam is my favourite choice.
• You can make any type of signature. One image signature, coded, any theme, any colour there is no discrimination and restriction!

Not all CS users know what is good and what isn't when it comes to signature creation. Your signature comes under 3 categories for the general audience:

• Colour
  
• Fandom
• Does it look pretty?
- Colour means is it a good colour palette for the user?
- Fandom means is the signature about something people really like? Examples are Tv shows, video games, irl sports etc.
- Does it look pretty answers itself. Is it nicely arranged? Can you read it?

In addition, it is also worth noting that there are a few interesting ways to get voters.

• Posting a ton in Forum Games can attract voters, but that doesn't mean they will vote for your signature! Be careful.
• Having your signature as your current signature as you advertise is a good way of making the signature familiar to a user before they vote. Chances are they will vote for you!
• Being nice and helpful around the forums also will help you get voters.
• Advertising the thread in your signature shop will help you as well if you own one! Please do not list to vote for yourself however, as you will be DQ'd if I find out you are doing that.
But, don't do the following, you will risk being DQ'd

• PMing masses of people asking them to vote for you. It's against CS rules. Just don't do it.
• Linking to the thread begging people to vote for your signature.
