For me:
I decided to keep track using a Google Forms Survey. Fill it out each day to get your daily ticket. ((You get this when you select "Yes" to the question "Is this your submission today?"))
PS:Every link in this post leads to the survey, including the one at the very very top of the page on the right to make it faster/easier to access.
PPS: Once set-up this method requires very very little upkeep, if you want to know how to do it for a raffle of your own just PM me.

So that's all hidden away where you can't see. How do you know ho many points you have? You can ask me if you lose track, but instead:
Keep a running total at the bottom of your posts OR keep a list of transactions on your first post. EXAMPLE:

4/6 Got Daily Ticket and got 3 tickets for a gifting pets (4)
4/7 Got Daily Ticket and put 4 tickets into the weekly VR raffle (1)
4/9 Got Daily Ticket, got 2 tickets for an art piece, and spent 4 on the Daily Rare Raffle (0)
Flat Buy Pets
Guess what. I have a freaking ton of common and uncommon pets. If I gave away 5 a day for the rest of the year I'd still have pets left... So you can buy them for tickets too!
Common Pet: 1 Ticket
Uncommon Pet: 2 Tickets
Go ahead and send the trade when you buy them. Just include a message saying "I am buying these pets for x tickets" and don't forget to fill out the survey.

A: Daily
Everyone gets a daily free ticket. Just fill out the survey:Quick Link for the Survey
B: Referral
If you refer someone you get two tickets as a reward. They need to put your ID# in the referral slot at the beginning.
C: Pet Gifting
Giving someone a pet or item on their wishlist. It is preferred that you link to this thread in the text. You don't get partial tickets and you should round down. These pets only count if they are on the other person's wishlist. If you gift a Very Rare+ you will need to fill out the survey several times to get the points. (The max I can put on the scale is 10).
New Rule: The maximum points you can get per day for trading is 25. It was pointed out to me that the current system is very unfair to people that can't just thrown tons of commons at it.

D: Gift Art
This is a lot more subjective, so feel free to ask on the thread if you need help categorizing the art.
Rules:
1. Only draw characters for people that they ask for or say it's okay. Skimming through the characters board usually turns up several threads where people say "I'd love it if you drew my character!".
2. It does not need to be full-body, but the level of detail should be reflected if you are covering a smaller area.
3. The tickets are awarded based on a full image, not per character.
4. If someone is asking for advice on how to categorize their art be honest. Being a medium quality artist is not terrible! It's average. Average is okay and is not a judgement.
5. Give the person the image by PM, link them to this thread, link them to the image, and BCC me.
Four Ticket (Max 3 per week)
Lineart based art with only minor edits, light/predone shading, no background/gradient background.
Pencil Sketch/Digital sketch
MS Paint sketch/drawing of middle-medium quality
Ten Tickets (Max 3 per week)
Lineart based art with major lineart edits, full shading (not preshaded), either transparent or with a background.
Drawn specifically for the character lineart with flat colors and/or basic shading, transparent or simple background.
MS Paint sketch/drawing of high quality
Micro/Pixel art
Thirty Tickets (Max 2 per week)
Full digital art piece complete with shading and background.
Full pixel art piece with multiple characters
Pixel art piece with animation (more then just bobbing/floating or stars sparkling).
((Note: If you think a piece without a background should receive ten tickets feel free to PM me. I might agree.))

There are three raffles, the daily rare raffle, the weekly vr raffle, and the monthly OMG So Rare raffle.
Note: Real life happens. If I miss a raffle drawing I will draw as soon as I can. The database will keep track of when you bought tickets as a time-stamp so I can just select those in the appropriate days for the raffle.
Weekly Rare Raffle:
Every week on Sunday I will draw for the previous Sunday-Saturday week. For every 10 tickets I will add another winner. Winners (in order of the draw) will get to pick 1 rare, up to 2 uncommons, and up to 5 commons from my Raffle groups. I will then PM the next winner to pick their pets.

Weekly Very Rare Raffle
Each week on Sunday I will draw for the previous Sunday-Saturday week. The pet will be your choice. (The first three weeks you may not choose a pet from 2008 July or 2008 August. I want this to be fair to people who didn't see it first thing.)

How do I find my ID#?
Go to a time you posted. Click on your name. In the URL bar (where it says www. etc .com) the number at the end is your user id. For example mine is 761.

Why are you using ID#?
Users change their names on this site fairly frequently and this is a very long term raffle. I want to make sure that I keep track of tickets accurately.
What about your items?
Grrrrrr.... Mine! In all seriousness the only thing I really get on CS to do is dress up my pets. I'm hanging on to them for now. If I decide to let some of them go I will have another raffle.
I'm still confused...... How do I get tickets? How do I spend them.
You earn tickets by completing tasks (free daily, gifting pets, creating art). You tell me that you earned those pets by submitting the survey (linked below, above, and everywhere). You fill it out by answering the questions. Then you write a personal note to remind yourself how many you have. You enter into the raffles by "spending" the tickets. You spend the tickets by filling out the survey again.

Make a banner gets you:

{} Is easy to read (1 ticket)
{} Is not heavily pixelated (1 ticket)
{} Pets pictured do not have black backgrounds (1 ticket)
{} Provides the code that links to this location (5 tickets)
{} Animation (5 tickets)
{} Overall Aesthetically pleasing (1-10 tickets).
Using a banner gets you:
{}Display's banner in signature (5 tickets for initial, 5 tickets in one week, 10 tickets in two weeks).
LIMIT: Each person may only submit 2 banners for tickets each week.
