Laredo's Herd Slot Competition

Here you have found my herd wide slot comp! From both of my polls, I have decided to give out a few slots from quite a few of my equids! If you keep scrolling and reading, you should find everything you need! So here we go!

General Rules:
- Be polite to everyone
- All WME adopt rules apply [3 months, 100 posts]
- PLEASE read all the way through
- WIP and edits allowed, just be sure you finish what you start please ^^
- You will be judged on thought/effort put into your form, art of my equids, and on the mare/stallion you wish to breed him/her to, as well as the suggestions and reason
- Mare / stallion has to be found to complete the breeding and permission granted, and at least 2 pieces of art is required!!!! (prefer digital) . The art can be drawn by you or ordered as long as it is on your COPLETED form by the end date.
- Please note: I reserve the right not to give out a slot if I feel no one is deserving of it

FAQ

Can we order art/color-ins?
You may order art. For color-ins, it would have to be from your personal collection, as in you made the lines yourself. No coloring someone else's lines(unless you bought them of course, then they are yours).

What if we don't have a mare/stallion for the slot comp?
I need you to find a mare/stallion for whoever you are trying out for and get permission.

Can I try for more than one slot?
You Can try for more than one, but if you have a specific quid you are trying for and you try for another you may not win your more preferred equid's slot. So keep that in mind.

2. grab the form and fill it out. DO NOT forget to put the equid's name code you are trying for in the title where the ... is.

Possible Foal
Name Ideas: Male Name; I think I'm going to go for Lawson
Possible Personality: I see him as quite the
ladies man, I'm not sure he is going to have a mate
as I like to wait until they are made to decide but
at this moment I see him not having a mate or
breeding with the same mare twice. I also see
him as a musician so he will be travelling a lot
-why I see him without a mate-, he will try to
be present in his foals lives but will probably
end up being one of those in and out dads as
I don't see him being very responsible. Although
he is into music, that does not mean he is reckless,
Lawson is a very careful stallion, he is always
looking out for his friends and is very protective
over his foals even though he is not always there
for them. But if anything ever goes wrong he is the
type of dad that would drop everything and run to
his kin.
Foal fun facts/quirks: He is going to be
a musician, so he'll always be humming away
to himself and trying to impress the ladies
with his songs.
Also he will always be up in the early hours
listening to bird song, hoping one might inspire
him

Why do you think you should get the slot?
Ummm, I always feel awkward when answering this
type of question as I never quite know what to say cx
I guess I think I should get a slot because I would
cherish the foal. I have recently discovered that it's
not as hard as I thought it to be, using my tablet. So
I will be able to shower him with art, and stories etc
Also I feel like I would respect the rules you have set
for him, for example I would not breed him for four
months, as I usually don't breed my equids till they are
three months so what's another? Plus I wouldn't leave
this breeding sitting around, I would most likely order
next as I'm so excited about a chance at a slot form L

Sorry due to personal reasons I have had no time.
But I will be colouring your herd in my challenge
lines, and if I am awarded the slot, there will
be lots of family portraits on their way cx
Seeing as in your latest post you said bribes
imma go for it; I would be willing to offer a slot
or maybe two from any of my equids; a slot form

Stallion/Mare you will be using: Birch's Trissue
Why this mare? I absolutely adore
everything about Trissue - her colouring
is gorgeous, I love the mapping on
her paint markings, and her quip
is to die for.
Most of all, I think her and Tobias
gel together really well, and the
baby they have together should be
an absolute stunner!
Name Ideas: This colt is one I've
had in mind for quite a while now, and
their name will be Mercutio c:
Nicknames: Mercie (said Merk-ee),
which he's not such a fan of since it sounds
so girly.

I'm hoping for a nice mix of their bases (a
sooty mahogany bay orchesntnut with nice
dark dapples) and a mixture of their two
quipping styles too.

Why do you think you should get the slot?
I'm relatively new to owning equids, even
though I've loved them for a while - I've only
had my first boy Kodiak since January, and
his daughter Adeline for even less. The upshot
of this is that I have very few equid slots
that I have to get through, so you won't have
to hold the slot forever and a day before I use it
cx This also means that, when he's born, Mercutio
will have a nice, cosy little herd to fit into, and
since I don't have many equids to take care of,
you can rest assured that will be absolutely
spoilt rotten!

Possible Personality: Buckle up cx
Mercutio is a big fuzzy ball of fiery mischief,
a biting wit, short fuse, and cocky attitude.
He adores humour in all its forms (especially
puns... way too many puns) and loves
the buzz he gets from making other equids laugh
- or groan in pain - from a well-placed witty pun
or two. He loves playing with words and playing
with his own cocky attitude to get jokes to come
across in just the right way, and can get easily
frustrated if he isn't the centre of attention.
Mercie is cocky to an absolute fault - some would
say vain, but his spunk is less about his physical
appearance and more about the fact that he just
knows he's absolute hot stuff (or at least, he sees
himself that way). Mercie just oozes confidence
and smirking attitude and he'll airily step over
anything in his way to looking cool and feeling
on top of the world.
He might have a cool exterior, but Mercutio is
extremely quick to anger - his fuse is very short,
burns quickly, and if you're still blocking his path
by the time it's burnt away... you might want to
start running. Mercie is prone to rash and very-
badly-thought-out decisions when he's angry,
sometimes with huge concequences, and he's
lost friends before over tiny mishaps because he refuses
to get over his grudges. (His reasoning: you angered
me once, most likely you'll do it again).
Foal fun facts/quirks: Mercie is absurdly ticklish,
especially around the girth area, and sneezes when he
gets excited. No-one's entirely sure why.

[Dark.]

I'm trying for an L Slot

Name Ideas: Restraining myself from calling the foal Light (Yagami) *cough* xD I'm swaying more towards a colt at the moment so I'm just brainstorming a selection of masculine names.

Lux :- Derived from the Latin word for "Light"
Lucan :- True meaning unknown, however many speculate it to be derived from the Latin/Spanish meaning Light. Some also link as a derivative of the word for 'wolf'. Was also one of the Kinghts of the Round Table in Arthurian legend. It's also the name of a couple of werewolves in films I've watched which I think is fitting as he would be a half skelly ^^
Lorcan :- Irish name meaning 'little fierce one'.

Name Ideas: Stallion- Macon, Bragg | Mare- Joara, Neoheroka (All 4 are names of forts in NC. Going off the Knox theme)
Possible Personality: Based on the gender, it will either be rough and tough (male) or sweet and humble (female)
Foal fun facts/quirks: Depending on what name is chosen, I will put information about that corresponding fort. The foal will be very studious and smart.

Why do you think you should get the slot?: I believe I should get this slot because, in my opinion, Knox and Sequoia's colors, markings, and quip compliment each other very well and would make a beautiful baby.
