Though I don't know what gender the foal is going to be, I may buy an extra slot for gender or wipe my suggestions and let it be a free reins design with the only suggestion being filly. Either way, I know I want the name to be mythology themed and with spice in it to give the pinch of feisty attitude from Vivian herself. This royal little prim and proper princess is like her mother in many, many ways. Nothing is to be out of the order she likes when she is around, her coat is to shine at all times and her mane and tail is clipped every two weeks to ensure a sophisticated and regal stature at all times. Much like her mother, she rather not do anything herself so she simply makes it clear to her herd mates that they are to make sure everything is in order at all times. They'll learn quite quickly when she isn't happy, no one is. Though like there is to every personality in the world, there is a side that not many know about. This side comes from her fearless, mud lovin, hardheaded, huge appetite father. Despite how primed up she wants to be at all time, daddy's little girl has inherited his appetite and love for mud. She just can't stand to walk by a mud puddle or pond without jumping in it, but she always is washed up shortly afterwards so she doesn't appear dirty to those around her. Her appetite, just like her fathers, is quite large and leaves her almost always hungry and wanting treats. This could always be a risk to her petite stature so in the sight of others she will refrain from eating or will eat very little, taking home a good bagful of the snacks served in her little saddle bag. This saddle bag is always on her, filled with cleaning supplies if she were to get in the mud, also an extra space to hold as many of her favorite snacks as she can, Peppermints and Sugar cubes.


It all started with Grumpy Queen. Vivian, when created, certainly did catch my eye. I had always been a fan of the parents and all their foals, but I believe Vivian is what caught my eye the most out of all of their foals. Though at that time she was just another cute foal that I watched and admired, until I saw the picture Trompy had made of Vivian and her father. Vivian stole my heart in that picture, the pose has the boldest attitude in it that matches Vivian, and it shows it in the best way. The back left leg being lifted the way it does shows a gracefulness that no words could show about her character. After that I made it a personal goal to one day own a sibling of hers, or even better, a foal from her. A little foal that shouts out 'I am Vivian's little Princess, Serve me.' Though I was quite bummed out about the goal knowing getting either of these was going to be one of the hardest goals I've ever set on WMEs, once I had seen there was a slot open for Vivian, I had to give it a shot and only hope that I could be lucky enough to achieve such a dream. I questioned on should I drop out, because lack of time and fear that I would not be able to put as much time and effort into this competition that the foal would deserve, but I decided against it and tried anyway. I definitely wouldn't have a chance if I had dropped out and quit, so I poured my thoughts and feelings into words in the matter of 24 hours, in pure hope it will be enough. Unfortunately, I will not be able to finish the art due to stress and short of time, but I promise I will give it to you when it is finished. Personality: London is very much like her mother. She is cold-harted and demanding on the outside. She wants everything that is pretty and precious and she will stop at nothing to get it. She is very sneaky and often steals from others to impress her mother. She is proper by day, assassin and thief by night. She is very serious and has never even laughed. Her motto is, "I keep my walls high so no sympathy may climb them."

Princess London is a very proper and demanding princess. She is often found sitting awaiting the treatment of others, and likes to be by her mothers side to learn. She gives all of the credit to her mother for being such a "wonderful, and fair princess." She practically does everything her mother tells her if if that means killing. She is aldo viewed as "too desperate". Often buying her mother jewelry, and exotic items to please her. It is almost sad to see her most days, her heart Turing more and more to ice as she feels her mother is not proud of her. It is the wort thing though to walk into her. She will immediately give you a glare that makes you quiet as the palace usually is. Then walking by she keeps her cold stare on you until she has passed you.

After the sun sets, and night starts to fall it is a completely different story. She grabs her cape and sets off into the night. London or "The Crystal Assassin" as she is know by the world of folklore, is a lot more cunning and independent. She

Foal: hmm.. Since I am unsure of the mare how could I predict.. Well.. I usually create a personality based on the vibe there design gives off. Unless it's and extremely planne foal such as my toothless foal. But I am very picky when it comes to creating a pair I always look for tiny details in which I believe will create an amazing Equid or the certain look I am searching for. That's why most of my pairs aren't complete as of yet. Plus I have to wait til the Equid owner is ready to gave out slots etc. Time is key. I can assure you that I love the foal just like all my other equids. Each one has something special about them though and this foal would also.

Why I chose Balios:
It's hard to explain the what it is about Balios that draws me in. It is a combination of his looks, his characterization, and an overall allure that cannot be ignored.
I loved Balios from the moment I set eyes on him in the WME adoption thread; alas, I did not try out for him, as his competition was not an area that I felt confident competing in. I never imagined that I may have the chance to achieve one of his slots. I never dreamed of the possibilities that might come from his foals -- they seemed too far out of reach. Now, though, they don't seem so far away. After I failed in the first chance, I am offered a blissful second chance at these possibilities.
Balios' looks are only the physical part of his allure. It is what first draws you in, to then experience the mental part. His characterization give a unique starting point for the development of any future foals he may have. To have this starting point is the incentive that urges me on the most to attempt to claim one of Balios' slots.

Why I chose Ruka:
(Same as I told iShame, when searching for a mare to use <3)
As soon as I caught word of Balios' slot competition, I knew that I had to enter (even though I rarely, if ever, take part in these kinds of things). But to enter Balios' competition, I had one very big problem -- none of my mares fit what I was looking for in a match for him! I immediately set out, sifting through the 2,000+ WMEs on the adoption page, trying to find a mare that I loved as much as Balios. I saw Ruka -- of course I saw Ruka. But, shy as I am, I refrained from asking. I knew her slots would most likely be closed, and I never ask for closed slots, fearing not only rejection, but also the fact that I might appear disrespectful.
Then, suddenly, iShame posts on the fanclub with the answer I am looking for! Perhaps it was silly of me, but I almost thought it a dream -- two of my favorite equids, both with (possibly) open slots!
Ruka is one of my favorite equids (her base, especially, is to die for). She was created by CookieRabbit, who is not only one of my favorite WME (guest)artists, but the creator of Balios, another of my favorite equids (who is also to die for), as well. Also, perhaps most important, she has such an interesting and complex characterization that it would be an absolute joy to develop the characterization of her foal.

Why I paired Balios with Ruka:
In conclusion, both equids mentioned are some of my favorites. They both have beautiful designs, and both of their personalities consist of unique ideas. If paired together to make a foal, I can imagine so many possibilities for that foal. To have a foal from these two is like a sort of challenge -- here are two amazingly unique and interesting equids, it is now my goal to create an equally unique and interesting foal, derived from each of them!

Choice of breeding artist:
My first choice of breeding artist for this pair would most likely be Kita. This is due to reasons such as accessibility (she is open quite often), skill (I lied - all of the artists have this), and style (I feel like her style matches well with Balios' overo and Ruka's dapples).
My next choices would be Copper and Ghost.

Foal's personality:
With a wild soul, not unlike that of her sire, this foal is not one to be tamed. It is this un-tamable nature that leads to her decision to run away from home instead of let herself be restricted to one place. Away from the influence of a mother or a father, this foal becomes rebellious against any authority but her own. She is not used to anyone else telling her what to do, which leads her into a lot of trouble. Often getting herself into precarious situations, she shows her independence by quickly becoming more adept when confronted with problems. Though perhaps not the smartest in terms of average intellect, she is creative, and her cleverness is an asset that she uses well to adapt to new situations. Her heart holds so much love for the wilderness, that she has little room to spare for close relationships. If asked herself, she would say that she is simply searching for someone to share her roaming life with her. In reality, it is her fear of being tied down to someone or someplace that keeps her heart hidden away. She fears what would happen if she were asked to pick a compromise between two things she loves; that she might lose one if she picks the other. Her life can get a bit lonesome at times, with very little companionship, and none that is constant. One thing that never fails to make her incredibly happy, whatever the situation, is birds. No matter the type of bird, this foal is captivated by them. This is because she views them as being one of the most wild animals of all, and she admires that about them; for what greater accomplishment is there than to be wild?

If I had to describe the foal in one word, that word would probably be "unconventional".
