The Truth

"Ok guys. Go!" Ella said, flashing the torch around. I followed Rose down to a tree, and Ben and Tom ere on the tree next to ours. The pitch-blackness made me fel as if i was blind, and i could barley see my own hands! Ella shone the torch down around us, and i ran after Rose, Tom, Petra and Ben to the old oak at the bottom. I ram to fast and tried to stop myself, but ended up crashig into Ben. " Sorry!" I wispered to him, so Ella couldn't hear us. "Spotlight...Meg!" Yes! I thought, Megs found! Meg was the spotlight champ, and i was positive that i wouldn't win ageisnt her. Ella and Meg were comind down here, and I could hear the others moving around. " Over here Caitlin!" Bram said, but i ignored him, trusted my gut feelings and ran off towards the far end. "Spotlight...Bram...Tom...Rose..." Rose sighed; and i stopped breathing. Ella shone the torch around once, and walked off. I took a deep breath in, and lay on my back. The stars twinkled, and i felt safe and cold.
"Hey"
I flipped over, shocked. Ben was crouched there.
"Um..Hi"
"So, you got a good hiding spot?"
"What does it look like, Ben?"
"No spot?"
No spot"
I turned away, to look for Ella. She was coming towards us! Go towards the top, Caitlin!" I Sprited to the top, Ben close on my heels.
The torch shines next to us, and I face-plant into the grass. Ben hides beneath a tree. Ella continues looking and heads towards the trees.




"My sister's a bit thick isn't she?" Ben asks me. I don't know what to say, so I reply with a awkward 'umm"
"Do you like being friends with her?" he asks again.
"Well" I say " She thinks I'm cool. Mainly because I have a laptop, wear a bikini, and and maybe because of the clothes I have"
"But do you think she's thick?"
"I Dunno. Her dad told her I was 14!"
"She has hearing aids"
I have grommets. And I seriously don't care if Ella's thick or not" And I sprint down the hill, and crash into a tree.

I sit up, dazed. Suddendly I hear Ella and Brams voice.
"For the last time, Caitlin! If you don't come out now, the we will leave you here!"

I stand up, and fall over My legs had fallen asleep!
"Over here! Im here! I won!"
I jump up and down. It was my first game of spotlight, and I won!
"Why does she have to win?" Petra grumbled.

"Petra, I heard you!"
