Why I was here? I couldn't tell you. My motivation? Couldn't tell you that either. Wether I was held my sanity? I couldn't answer. Though it's clear I can't answer many questions about myself, I could tell you this. I belong here. I don't know why. I don't know how. I just know I belong here.
Now where is 'here' you might ask. Finally a question I could provide and answer to. I'm in a room. Just simply a room. Black and white. A single light. A single mirror. That's all I need. A scene from a horror movie? Possibly to you, but not to me. I don't see eye to eye with the others. My soul communicates with the spirit's of the world. They welcome me like no other, but make no mistakes. The spirit's can be frightening.

I stood in the center of the room, twirling slowly to the imperceptible whisper of music. My torn, vintage dress hung off my frame, flowing in sync with my movements. My bare feet patting softly against the smooth, cold concrete of the floor.
Jayden
Jaaaayyyyydeeen
An eerie voice seemed to echo through my mind, calling for me. "Hello," I responded, wary of the chilling voice the spirit had used. The masked tune that had once drifted through the room stopped abruptly, forcing my to stand still in the very center of my home.
Hello Jayden
The spirit whispered, their voice carrying sweetly through the air. The sudden change in tone from chilling to welcoming was startling, but I brushed it off. "Why have you come to me?" I questioned curiously.
You need me
Persistent, the spirit's tone shifted once more, back to the frightening chill that it had possessed earlier. I nervously fingered the indigo ribbon that adorned my dress around the waist. My hands were cold and clammy. My gut was telling me something was wrong with situation.
I notice your pause. Let me rephrase. You need me!
The spirit's voice rose in volume until they were screaming, sending a heavy wind through my empty room. A scream of an unknown soul split through the palpable tension that sat heavily in the silence. Covering my ears, I collapsed to my knees. The blood-curdling shriek persisted, others adding to it. The lightbulb grew brighter than popped, shadows creeping in from all sides. The mirror behind me shattered, pieces of metal scattering on the ground. A shard sliced my arm and I reeled back in pain, trying to keep my ears covered. Above all the screams of pain and terror, I heard a singular voice.
Fear Our Power!
The voice bellowed in a commanding tone, the screams growing louder and more frantic. I brought my head to my head to my lap, clenching my eyes shut. "I will!" I screamed in submission. At once, the anguished screeches came to a halt, eerily echoing off the walls. Soon, my pounding heart and ragged breaths were the only audible sounds. I stood up, trying to slow my breathing. Smoothing down my long, blonde hair, I walked over to where my mirror once sat, picking up a single shard. I looked at my reflection whispering, "Don't worry, I will."
