Just to say thoose who use real life dogs and just added things they are bound to win and it is unfair.

Its not unfair in my opinion, photo-manipulation are quite hard to do (I failed at it too lol). If they're not good at it, sometimes it'll look worse than drawings. So I don't think doing a photo manips will be an advantage nor they will getting a higher score.

Alot of people who have their stock photos(photos that are used in manips are called this) do not allow their pics to be used outside of the site. In my case, I use stock photos from Deviant Art and all the pics used are allowed to be used outside of dA. I have even asked some for permission to show the picture here on CS and they have agreed. Some allow their pics to be used on any site without permission, it all differs. but we must always write down the names of the stock photo owners on the photo manipulation or we can be accused for stealing.
it takes just as much time and skill to make manips as for drawing. For the entries I have done, it has taken between 2-3 hours to find the right pictures I want to use that is allowed to be used off-site. then it takes around 3 hours to put the manip all together. It has taken me months of practising making good manips and I still have alot of practising ahead of me.

I just want to help clearing things out about photo manipulations since I have made 3 entries with them. Making photo manipulations is not an advantage, as Peace&Colby wrote before. I just hope that there will be no more photo manipulation-dislikes, we are all artist's who have entered here and being an artist is not only making drawings.

I disagree with the photo manip argument. If photo manipulations are considered art, thats like saying stories are considered art. Hey, why dont we just make a story? Sorry, thats just in my opinion.

yes, writing stories is art as well. making jewellery, sculptures, baking... its all art. but thats not what it is about in this contest.

What I wrote before is not an argument. Im just clearing facts. Making photo manipluations is not stealing others pictures and put them together a little here and there. We are no thieves. photo manips is allowed as entries here so I made some.

I never said you started an argument. I was stating my opinion on the photo manip argument. You put facts into the argument though.

I've seen plenty of thief photo manip's, so you cant say that you all aren't thieves. Also, I find it not fair, when it doesnt take that much effort to do photo manips, but it takes us drawers a lot of our own time to sketch, fix, draw lines, fix, color, shade, blend, fix, background, glare, etc.

You guys, photo manipulation is a form of visual art that dia said we were allowed to use. It is not an advantage because a lot of people who have made them have spent a long time making them. I've spent 4 years making them and getting better. Please, stop the argument. Diana said it was okay, so it is okay.
