Slot I'm trying for: Jax
I'm breeding him to: Na'vi
X

Why him: Well, I've been a long standing admirer of Jax. I immediately knew I had to try for a slot of his. He's just so
pretty on first impression. From his one speckled back sock to his silver bay base (his mane and tail color and their contrast to his base coat being a particular favorite of mine) to his freckly wandering face marking that gives him a final way to pop out and grab your attention (and also caused his dual colored eyes, another favorite feature), he grabs your attention and lingers in your memory without needing lots of 'flashy' quip and markings. And from the way you've set him up, I just get this vibe from him that he's a pretty cool guy.
Why her: Na'vi is very pretty in her own right, when I saw she had slots open I was very tempted to snag one even before I had paired her up with Jax. Everything about her just pulls together to make an equid that is easy on the eyes; a half-skeleton that you maybe wouldn't mind haunting you at night. She may not be what had originally popped into my head when thinking of mares for Jax — other 'natural' mares, bonus if they were silver as well — but she fit Jax in a different but still (very) appealing way. Her paint markings and more 'unnatural' appearance would certainly add a different element to the foal compared to if I had stuck with a 'natural' mare.
Ideas for the foal/requests:Possible requests/what I envision the foal to look like:1. Hetero/bi/different colored eyes (from papa)
2. Father's quip style
3. Mother's base? (I'm partial to her base and/but would also love Jax's silver gene; might ask an artist about the 'rules' on this)
The requests are in order favorites-wise, in descending order. I try to choose requests that still allow the artist have some wiggle room and potentially surprise me but I admit these specify the potential looks of the babe a bit more than I normally tend to. I do have a mental picture of the potential foal; a dark, 'purple' tinted baby with Jax's silver gene, their mane either silvery or 'flaxen' like its fathers, its quip a combination between its parents by having a style similar to Jax's but Na'vi's white color. Its base coat partially obscured by paint markings from Na'vi but only half of the amount of white on Na'vi, and some wonderful face marking, the appearance of which I can't even really guess at. That's just what my brain is coming up with and even if it doesn't turn out like my mental picture I'm sure that it will both be pretty in its own right and still have a place in my heart.
I didn't touch upon the paint and face markings in the requests due to the fact that I trust no matter the artist I would send this breeding to that they would come up with something wonderful both overall and concerning the white markings. I also didn't request a gender as I like to have that be a bit of a surprise as well.
Name/personality ideas:I tend to not really 'plan' out foals (except in specific instances) but rather sketch them out and brainstorm about them before they're born and can tell me their own story.
Right now for names I'm still considering it, but I can potentially see a J name fitting the foal, though I also want to stay away from the letter since that is the father's. I like Na'vi's 'interrupted' name and that could carry over to the foal's name. I'll likely look for a name with some meaning, maybe connected to mythology. Nonetheless, I'll make it top priority that it fits well.
For possible personalities, I'm thinking the foal could go one of two ways. It could either follow its two parents or be a curveball and not similar to its parents in a way that takes their traits and 'twists' them. I'm partial to the similar idea though which is why it's the one that's been fleshed out a bit.
If similar I would imagine it to go something like this: That quiet kind of 'book' smart, the kind that may or may not matter out in the 'real world'. Possessive over what is considered 'mine' including current places of residence, feathers get ruffled a bit quicker than normal because of its sensitivity but it's a silent, burning anger that is only expressed through glares. Likes wide open spaces, dislikes too many equids in one place, got both of its parents' space issues and one of its greatest fears would be to be captured by humans (put in a small box? touched and handled consistently? horrifying). Relatively neutral on other equids, doesn't mind company as long as they aren't all up in its space.
Miscellaneous foal information:I think I won't hand out too many of its slots, especially since I tend to hold onto slots. Exploring a romantic relationship with it might be interesting as I think, despite what personality it gets, it won't have the easiest time romantically. If it gets the similar personality it will be wild, but if the dissimilar personality is chosen I think it would do well as a domestic equid potentially. While I would want it to stay a baby for a bit I think I would then jump it to a young adult/old adolescent stage and keep it there for a while, most likely only really aging it again if it had foals. I also feel like it would have a decent amount of distant friends and maybe one or two good friends that it trusts.
