I stare
into your peaceful face

As you sleep
A tiny smile round your lips
Not a crease in your brow

And I wait

Finally
The clock goes off
Sounding its brazen music
Letting out the call to day

You sit up and-
Hit the snooze?

This is really ironic since I put about two seconds of thought into it. But I do have a great deal of experience when hungry cats don't get fed.

I laughed out loud at the last one.
Although, for me, my cat is my alarm clock. Very rarely do I get to sleep in til whenever it goes off - my cat's taken to pawing at my face when I'm asleep & she's hungry 8) and can't seem to control her claws very well anymore so it's like... IM AWAKE. IM AWAKE. AGH.
