I placed a bid on a pet, and the auctioneer sent me a suggestion back, asking for a pet I hadn't offered and I'm not prepared to give for what the auction is. I decided to check the auction thread to see if they'd said anything about it, and I noticed they had listed that pet as my bid. Looking at some of the other bids, they all looked like something the auctioneer had edited back to the person who'd sent the bid, and several of the "bids" were completely unfair to the bidders. I'm just wondering, is what this person is doing allowed? o.o I know I don't have to accept their trade, but I'm just curious. ^^ Thanks!

It is not against the rules, but it is in poor taste. I wouldn't appreciate an auctioneer editing my bid to something I wouldn't be willing to trade/offer. Try editing it back to your original suggestion, or pull out of the auction if they're being unreasonable. Unfortunately there are no rules to stop this though.

1 question: How do you share your trade with OTHER people who don't participate in in to be able to see?

Go to the trade, then click "Share your trade" (it's right next to where it says "Viewing a trade/suggestion offer which you/___ sent - Waiting for a reply"), and post the link that it gives you on the page. ^^

I am planning on running an auction but I have a few questions.

1) what do you mean by 'send your pets in a group rather than a trade'?
2) how do I link to their trade in my rankings?
3) does it matter if I don't value rarities the same as everyone else (I want some pets because they are cute and not rare at all)?
4) how do I find out the official names of pets that I want?
5) can I link to pictures of pets I want? How?

Thanks for your help. This is a great guide!

Thanks for your help. This is a great guide!

1) You put the pets you are bidding into a group, and then you post the group. That way it is easy to change your bid without it being edited back and forth. Just make sure to tell them when you change your bid.
3) That is totally up to you. Some users may get irritated, but it is up to you if you would rather have a different pet. Some people value rats less, and they say so in their rules so people know that they really shouldn't bid with them. Just make sure to make it clear what pets you really want, and it would be fine. You can choose not to tell, but again, that may annoy a few people.
4) There are guides in CS Chat such as this one for dog names by Atwood. There are other ones floating around too in there, I just don't have all the links.
