Disciplines

Postby hiraeth + hound » Sat Oct 29, 2016 3:40 am

All Maliks have a discipline unless untrained, here are all the disciplines listed that the Abd Al-Malik Association recognizes. The choice is completely up to you for what you want your Maliks to do! Whether it's Western or English showing, cattle herding along the rolling plains, or racing on the track, there's an abundance of activities your Malik can perform in!

The AL or Ability Level of your Malik differs for every individual. All Maliks are adopted out with an untrained, training, or beginner status unless otherwise specified. The Malik's AL can be raised by earning AP, or Ability Points, which can be earned in events, shows, or by leveling them up yourself through personal training. (art, writing, quests, etc.)
All NPC or Mascot Maliks are default placed at the Master level.
All Normal Adopts are placed at Untrained > Beginner level.
All Special Adopts (50s, 100s) are placed at Amateur level.
All Bred Maliks are placed at Training level.
All Custom Maliks are placed at Training level.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

[Master] - Malik is a Master at their discipline and is well-known by other competitors, prime of the showing life

Malik Gene Rarities and Breeding/  Percentages

Image

The gradients located on the chart are just to show the general boundaries of the colors. Some gradients are rainbow because they can be any variety of colors (EX, heterochromia can be any two or three eye colors.)

See below for details on eye color rarities.

Common colors include shades of Blue, Brown, and Green.
Uncommon colors include shades of Orange, Amber, Yellow, Heterchromia, and Sectoral Heterochromia.
Rare colors include shades of Pink, Lavender, Red, Unnatural Gradients, and Indigo.
Special colors are the rarest and include shades of white, black, any combo of three colors used in either Heterochromia or Sectoral Heterochromia, and any other unique patterns. (Flecks, Spots, Stripes, Swirls, etc.)

Legendary traits include things such as glowing eyes, unnatural pupils, edited eyes in any fashion other than expression, colored sclera, unnaturally colored pupils, etc.

Eye defects/mutations include but are not limited to; blindness, cataracts, albinism, leucism, eye trauma or missing eyes, or effects caused by double merle.

Regarding customs, the default colors are the common colors. Users can only pick common and uncommon colors at all, rare and special colors can only be made by artists - unless given special permission.

Regarding eye color change tickets, the color may be either uncommon or common, the choice is yours.

Regarding heterochromia, the rarity is based off the highest tiered color present in the heterochromia. (EX: Blue and Orange, the rarity would be Uncommon for the Orange color). However if two common colors are present, then the rarity will be Uncommon due to Heterochromia being an uncommon occurence. (EX: Blue and Brown, rarity is still Uncommon due to the fact it's Heterochromia)

Malik Show Naming System

When it comes to Maliks, their show names take a similar route as real registered horses. When a foal is born, it's show name is it's identity. There are no two same show names, which is what clears up confusion on if their 'barn names' or 'call names' are the same.
In Maliks, when a foal is born, it will take out a keyword from the sire's (or both sires, if there are two) show name and impliment it into its own. This does not effect its call name.

You may take any word you wish out of the show name if the owner does not require one of the words.
If you want to require a certain word be used in the foals show name, please let the artist know, so they may add it to the breeding notes:
Call Name: Valentino
Show Name: NC Philippine Sunrise
Breeding Notes: Passed SN Keyword: Sunrise

Example:
(Sire) NC Philippine Sunrise, call name: Valentino
(Dam) JFT Diamond in the Rough, call name: Missy

show names that are acceptable:
Diamond Studded Sunrise
Diamond in the Sunrise
Phillipine Rough
Rough Diamonds in the Sunrise
Sunrise Overlord
Philippine Rival

Example:
(sire x sire)
(Sire) NC Philippine Sunrise, call name: Valentino
(Sire) NC Milwaukee Painted Sun, call name: Sonji

show names that are acceptable:
Painted Sunrise
Philippine Painted Feathers
Sunrise of the Painted Flowers
Philippine's Finest Sun
Milwaukee Sunrise
Milwaukee's Blood, Philippine's Heart
