i wonder how many clicks the eggs need

It's according to what type of dragon it is. Sometimes it takes only a couple hundred, sometimes several.
Besides that, it takes one full week for an egg to become an adult, no matter how many clicks or views. So, look at the stolen or born date at the top of the egg or hatchling to see when the soonest time for it to grow up is.

They each start out with 7 days per stage. So, each egg has 7 days to grow into a hatchling, then the hatchling has 7 more days to grow into an adult. The soonest they can grow into adults is 7 days. The latest is almost 14 days--unless they are from the abandoned pile because each time an egg/hatchling is abandoned it will get an extra day tacked on to its remaining time.

Does that help at all?

All you have to do is keep your eggs/hatchlings in your signatures and post them on any websites that you may have--like MySpace or FaceBook--and they should be just fine. They don't have to get clicks, but they do need unique views, which means lots of different people need to see the image, but they don't have to click.
