this is my first summer event in sooo long that i have actually been active for. i'm so lucky i checked just 2 days after the event started - thus far i am caught up minus the two ponies from the first two days. however, i've heard they might be rereleased at the end so hopefullllly i can catch up then. quick run down:

the hardest pet to get

i still haven't got one organically and i must've played the saloon game 30 times by now! luckily found someone who wanted to trade it for a few items and tokens. i've got two of the dogs and not one of these! they seem pretty rare, but i doubt they'll come out as rare in the end - there's still a few more days left of the event to try get them. i wonder if we'll get banner pets this year then, or if this is the new equivalent.

my favourite pets

thus far, these are my favourite pets. they are soooo cute and drawn so well. i love the little plants as well. they're so beautiful. love them. at the end if i have spare tokens i will be hoarding these probably. new hoard to add to the list!

i do also love this one! it looks so soft despite the fact i know its a cactus. love her.

this baby reminds me of a soot sprite from the studio ghibli films. i am obsessed with those films and thus love this little pet.

my favourite npc

i think this is a very common answer! they're so cool and exactly what i imagined when i heard wild west event. like they just fit the criteria. perfect perfect perfect.

would also love to give an honorary shoutout to the new store pets.

these are so stinkin cool and also go perfectly with the event. my favourite part of events is how many people are active and trading - gives such good opportunities for pets i need as well as the chance to trade for c$ so i can get cool store pets like these! the biggest shock in my times of inactivity is that the store has gone up in price ;-; still got some saving to do for these babies <3

i wonder if we'll get banner pets this year. i've not participated properly in a summer event in so long! i can't remember if banner pets are usually included or if thats more a halloween event thing?

pov: you're stubborn and don't want to wait until the trade thread dies down to get all the new pets so instead splash all your tokens guessing on how many outcomes there are. these banners are now gonna haunt me.

anyway! (i think) i've got them all. the free pets recently have been particularly kind to me and i've been lucky to get all the outcomes on adopton - knock on wood. speaking of free pets....

beautiful. gorgeous. most perfect little thing i've ever seen. obsessed with the fluff and the claws and the twinkle in her little eye and the whiskers.

these armadillos. not particularly kind to me. this is where all my tokens went. rest in peace to the horde i had pre-rollover. its a good job i waited to trade them away otherwise i would've been at a loss! but they're so cute. look at their stupid little smiles. i can't be mad.

these crazy little guys. not so sure on them. this ones my fav i think. i enjoy the red glow in their eye and long ears and fluffy cheeks. i wonder what animals meant to be under there. they remind me of kids who have been mischievous and dressed up in the skeletons theyve found in the wild west. the lighter one looks like a hyena to me under there but i'm no zoologist.

my favourite thing about this event is how quick the archive has been updated. amazing. incredible. great work. now to banner hunt to stack up on tokens again in time for tomorrow ;-;

this just might be the funniest picture on this website. naughty naughty sheriff. also the imagery in the story reveal of earp on a horse he used to run away is so funny. how did he do it. how is this pony riding a horse. would love to see proof of that.

in other news i did jinx myself yesterday by saying the free pets had been good to me. i missed an outcome today so had to brave the trade threads while they're so busy. just constantly spamming submit until eventually noones posted before me lmao. but! success! this is the elusive little guy. just so happens to be my fave of the litter!

ALSO THESE PIGGIES ARE UNREAL! im sorry im absolutely in love. maybe new hoard???? if i can afford... token stashes are running dry. but these are beautiful perfect. my children. kiss. the shading is so perfect i cant wait for the archive to reveal the artist so i can be forever grateful for these little guys. just incredible work using the pps adolescent kitties. genius.

also a HUGE fan of the use of the butterfly wolf lineart for coyotes. they look so good. i knowi in theory that would be obvious to the artists because butterfly wolf but im in love. such great pets this event and im so glad i got to take part!

anyway i think im all caught up again already <3 bring on tomorrow!

innn other collection news
i've been trading so much during this event due to being very active and how many ppl are active at the same time! so i've been wittling down my wishlist - don't get me wrong its still HUGE lmao i'm only just catching up the years i was inactive but progress is progressive. in the midst of that i got the cutest little pets in the entire world:

OMG! otters were introduced amidst my inactivity so i only just realised they existed - saw a few of the adolescent pps' but the BABIES !!!!!!! the cutest little things in the world. r u kidding. i wanna cry.
i think my current cs goals are mainly to catch up 2019-2024. i'm not too far off 19/20/21 but got a LOT of missing pets from 22-24. slowly picking away at it!

(late) mid month update
hey! i kinda fell off the last 2 weeks and haven't been on cs much bar from sending a few trades a day and checking the daily growths (which have been super cute this month... more on that later). i've also been doing a few general bits with my pets - organising my trade groups to make it easier to find pets by rarity, organising my pet groups - adding missing yrs/months/events, organising the pets in my unsorted group, etc.
anyway, heres the end of the wild west event updates (whoops)

i'm super happy we ended up getting these guys. ive got 2 sets of them - just in case. i do also have a complete set of the wild west pets which im super proud of (: i was hoping to trade in my extra tokens for some rare pets i could use as trading fodder but NOPE i forgot so now have a stack of useless mail tokens lmao.
i also did end up doing a small (12) hoard of these guys! i've dressed up the first few - something i never rlly do but look how cute!:

kept with the wildwest theme and made sure they each had at least 1 little animal friend (:
i'm also absolutely obsessed with this months pets so far! these are my fave growths:

the snakes are my personal faves of the litters this month. i do think a good tip for people striving for a full collection/increasing their c$ is to scout out the trade threads and forums as there are a lot of people who are willing to overpay for pets they like/missed! plus there are a lot of users who don't necessarily care for dates/rarity but instead collect pets based on what they like the look of!

i have also been having a fair bit of luck with the pound! x x

2 old(ish) extremely uc's!!!! very happy. i've been getting them as soon as the pound opens but it does always pain me a tad to see the extremely old/rare pets getting snagged quickly ;;

staff pet rundown
hey guys! back for another mid month update lol! i feel like cs has so much going on this time of year... summer event, staff dogs, halloween, christmas. i think march/april are also very busy months... very annoying to sort from a big group of pets that you (i) have accidentally left sitting too long!
anyway, much to talk about... so far so good on the staff dog front. up-to-date and still have newborns for when they grow up, which i'm hoping will be next rollover (?) i can't deal with the suspense! also, again, i'm inactive most of the year and then return for events (generally) so it always surprises me when i'm on a cs fixation grind how slow the months normally are - not that that's a complaint! love me a low maintenance site.
anyway! staff pets...

UNBELIEVABLY obsessed with the eye colour on this lil guy. i LURV the nature trend this year... shes gorgeous... can't wait to see what sprouts.

gawjuss. done been one of my faves since she was a pup and now look at her... (i'm sorry if i accidentally misgender the claimed pups... i just go based on vibe... apologies and pls feel free to correct me)anyway.. the details, the colour. the little pixel flowers on their legs, the curly tail, the little tongue, the BANdANA ! the fluffy paws ! speechless.... she even has eyebrows.... gorgeous... whats her beauty routine....

now... this little fella... they look so mischievous. they're a little scrawny victorian london kid... he's never heard of an iphone before in his life. so fluffy... long tail... he may steal an extra loaf from the bakery.

now, as a baby, i got her horns mixed up a lot as bows. i just couldn't help but see her as a little coquette icon - but wow now she is such a beautiful dog - i'm obsessed with the dangling rope (?) and the tails, the detail is amazing. the face... beat. the horns most certainly not bows but gawj never the less. i also really enjoy the little ears. i would see her on the street and change everything about myself to become her.

obSESSED. the cutest little guy. he's scared of his powers. look at that little meek face. the glowing horn. he has no idea whats going on and hes so scared but, hes so brave. hes unafraid. he is well behaved. (in tune of the song for the staffie)

these guys have been my faves so far i believe. also do you remember how at the start i mentioned how one may have a group of unsorted pets they may have left laying around too long (me)? well i was just sorting a few and i don't know HOW i missed these guys from april this year...

WHAT! you are KIDDING ME! one of my first goals on cs was specifically to collect all the dwarf hamsters (one of my fave lines if not my FAVE) and wow now i need a million of just these guys... i might add them back to my wl and just passively collect them and see how many i end up with.
