My idea:

With the environmental problems affecting everyone worldwide, I'd love to see something nature-ish. Studio Ghibli did an amazing job in this field with their movie "Princess mononoke", for example.
Something that appreciates our nature, maybe in a magical kind of way (because frankly, our nature is magical and a gift). In the same time, maybe something that shows the decay, the dry, the change. I think some beautiful items and pets could result out of this - and it could hold a meaningful and important message.

Other than that I second the following, already named ideas:

Id like to actually double down on an Asian theme one or an Anime one. I loved the Anime-Con idea cause it could open up making different anime character designs for the event pets & the community votes on which animes they would like to see incorperated into designs.

For the Asian theme you could do a bunch of different things like eastern dragons, anciant spirits & beasts of lore - Stuff like that. Sense we have Christmas tree pets & other Cherry blossom type pets I feel like a Cherry Blossom tree pet would be outstanding. You could even make items to go on the tree similar to the christmas tree, I think that would be a really great idea!

CS will not make pets or items based off of real IPs, so anime character themes wouldn't work. Now some generic stuff like big anime style eyes, anime-esque hair styles, etc, would be able to be created.
