(i have put way too much thought into this suggestion)
what i really liked about my favorite event, the slumber party, was that it was aesthetically AND conceptually super interesting and exciting. i think my perfect summer event would be an elemental mythology/mystery type adventure...
i think it would be sick to end up on a remote tropical island because our cruise ship got thrown off course in a huge storm, and then we find out the island is plagued by all these weird weather events and disasters the townspeople can't explain. we travel up the huge mountain in the middle of the island and discover elemental beasts that are made of lightning and fire and water and air and stuff like that. there's some kind of cave or something where we find a couple of elemental beasts that are in a romeo and juliet situation because their families don't agree in a romance between fire and water (possibly overdone, i think light and dark would be cooler, as long as it's not too visually similar to the slumber party dreams vs nightmares thing). so boom -- mystery solved: all these natural disasters are being caused by the angry element gods or creatures or whatever. we convince the head fire and water (or light and dark) honchos them to let our lovebirds be in love, and it all ends happily. yippee!
i just think the nature-inspired pets are always so cool, and an event with element-based and tropical pets would be so awesome. i really like the idea of pets and items inspired by motifs in traditional vietnamese, filipino, chinese, and indian clothing or architecture... and i think this mysterious island would be a really fun and cool way to get a variety of pets that are still part of a cohesive story/mystery that would be really fun to play out. i've also seen a lot of suggestions that build on things that were featured in other events, like cryptids or pirates, but i think (i hope!) doing this kind of tropical, southwest-asian-inspired element-based mythology thing wouldn't overlap too much with the aesthetics or concepts of past events.
thx for reading!
