- From the moment that I started on CS, I've been collecting PPS pets! I joined in April 2011, so my first ever PPS pet was this one, and I was lucky enough that it is self-adopted!

Through the years there has been a lot of debate on what "counts" as a PPS pet, especially since there is no dedicated PPS filter in the archive, not all PPS pets have a PPS tag on them, and some PPS pets are missing the "What is PPS?" link on their page.
The official definition of PPS from the site FAQ is:
Some pets on CS are born with "PPS" which is short for "Peter Pan Syndrome". PPS pets will never grow into adults - they'll be children forever, just like Peter Pan :)
Most PPS pets have the letters "PPS" stamped on the image. Some PPS pets don't have that stamp, but if you click the pet to see the info page, underneath the image it will say "This pet has PPS" if it is a PPS pet.
My personal definition would be as follows:
Any CS pet, growing or adopted full grown, whose final outcome is on a newborn, child, or teen stage CS lineart. This includes pets where the lineart has been modified to make it look like a full-grown animal. It does not include pets that are on an adult lineart but edited to look like a baby animal. The Eastern Dragon lineart's two final stages are both considered adults.
Pets about which there is discussion:
- The UR Bee and the UR Peach - both of these are PPS because they are based on the caterpillar lineart.
- Frogs - they are edited midstage chameleon lineart, so they count as PPS.
- The Rock - it is on egg lineart, so it is a PPS.
- The September 2014 "Bunnies" - they are not an edit of the existing newborn bunny lineart, but a whole new lineart. I do NOT consider them PPS and think they should be marked as "Other Species" in the archive.
- The Advent 2008 Mini Huskies - they are an "Other Species" lineart with no growing stage, so they are NOT PPS.
- The Cows - first released during the 2014 Summer Event, this PPS Pony lineart was considered not PPS by some members of the forum PPS Club. I'm not sure why; they meet the definition of PPS.
