What would be your dream Summer Event theme??

I'd love to see some of these themes explored:

Music Festival - exploring lots of different genres of music through different stages such as metal, rock, punk, country, pop, etc. Would be an awesome event to introduce items themed around these genres, like spiked/studded jackets, patches to decorate vests and jackets, country western style shirts and jeans, new cowboy hats, cute crop tops, and fun hair styles like mohawks, hair metal styles, etc, as well as instrument items, which I feel we are really lacking.

Post Apocalypse: Surviving in the wasteland fits right in with the event activity of trading in tokens and items for new stuff. A cool chance at some really grungy, fun items and pets. Armor made from street signs, hockey masks, mutated creatures and backgrounds and scenery that would really fit well with that item set from Halloween 2023, because those items are super cool, but we don't really have relevant backgrounds to use them on top of right now.

Love these ideas a bunch!! The music festival sounds like a lot of fun, and I think the post-apocalyptic setting could work as either a really intense L.A.R.P or some sort of time travel/universe shenanigans.

I also LOVE the idea of a murder mystery party sort of deal. Perhaps it takes place in a magical mansion that has some connections to a mysterious world?

Edit: What about a time traveling adventure that explores the different ages of cartoons? We can get a whole variety of pets based on different cartoon styles based on different time periods and such! Actually, what if exploring different animation genres/styles in general? Could be like flipping through channels in a TV set.

I love the theme of a musical festival/rave culture, the cryptid/folklore one (on the front page), or a classic western-themed one. These all seem very achievable.

I'd like a "Retro" event! Featuring items/pets that are reminiscent of popular trends in the past i.e. a popular snack/toy in the 1990s, pets inspired by past art and design movements like art deco or art noveau, designs incorporating vaporwave or noir elements etc. Batches of pets/items could even be themed by the trends in different decades i.e. 1920s, 1930s!

Spelunking: a chance to make some real fun bioluminescent critters, or unique animals adapted to lightless environments like the blind cave salamander which would work great on the axolotl base we already have, or other species themed after cave animals like the blind cave fish, which has a really cool look to it. Snake lines edited for an Olm would be super cool too. Harnesses and cave exploration gear, crystals and stalagmites and things would be awesome scenery items. Maybe a chance to introduce new spider lines, because if you haven't seen a Cave Harvestman spider, they are really cool looking.

Castles in the sky: Something with floating islands, air ships, species adapted for life in the sky! Beautiful cloud scenery for different weather situations, fun imaginative plants to thrive in the lower oxygen environment high up. Doesn't have to have a medieval feel to be castles, these could be very fantasy. Maybe a castle made of clouds with rainbow bridges? Or different kingdoms for different weather patterns, so a thunderstom kingdom, snow storm, rain, etc?

Seconding the post apocalypse suggestion and expanding on it. We could have mutated pets as well, maybe a faction of survivors and a faction of mutated animals they're hiding from? If the staff wanted to go this route but keep it more lighthearted, maybe towards the end it could be revealed the mutated animals were actaully friendly but misunderstood and the two factions could come together at the closing of the event.

Mutated animals could provide some interesting pet designs, maybe some of them could even be based around previous pet designs, sunjewel but it has two heads, zebra but it has six legs, ect.


Otherwise, superheroes could be a fun theme. You could have hero and villian themed pets and item packs with backgrounds that look like comic panels. It could even utilize some of the mutant pet ideas.

Seeing the 1990's called retro made me cry, lol! *cries in old man back pain*. XD But honestly I would love to see 90's themed stuff, it would bring back a lot of nostalgia for me.

-working/helping at a petting zoo/ranch/employee at a city zoo !! variety of realistic animals and livestock with hefty litter outcomes!

-veterinary/pound update homage event, rehabilitation to ‘sad’ past pets, reviving the roadkill horse, pound employee/rescue tasks, wildlife rehab, some pets with personality/expressed emotion or a clear history (e.g mama dog with pps litter, cat with chip in its ear, clearly aggressive rabbit, i dunno)

-safari adventure

-cloudy with a chance of meatballs-style conundrum, combining inclement weather with food and meteorology themes

-7-continent world exploration vacation featuring native animals, culture, and a cartography theme - the event page can be a globe

-botanical garden/herbology/gardening(come back tomorrow for your crops to grow!) could incorporate mystic elements

-“best of show” theme - each day would be a new event section: reptile expo/agility competitions/horse races/working k9/posh breed-standard westminsteresque dog and cat shows

-CS artist scramble - the event page could be a scrabble board, the artists have switched bodies, and now past iconic website pets are recreated in the varying stylizations/specializes of our artists + we have to switch the bodies back

-3rd gen event: we have 2nd gen pets, what happens when we start combining those? could have a slot machine/casino theme to represent the random chance of genetics. it could also go wrong in some pets and lead to mutation/hybrid animals/pets and give us a few funky outcomes per litter. this one would also be a great opportunity to incorporate a “stuck in time” theme in -

stuck in time/glitch in time: bringing back pets with interesting life stages. like the malk cats, for example, i’ve always wished that i could have more of those pps. bringing the roadkill horse back to life, aging previous pps.
