The pound opening tonight was CRAZY! The first page was full of pets from the previous opening (20+ pets on the first page), and I got the Joker dog on my second page! It was probably a glitch, but I think it may have something to do with the pound update they're supposed to implement soon.

Another year another re-release box! Here's the pets I got this year:
Fingers crossed that the malk horse ends up being the Penguin PPS! It's been on my wishlist for forever and that would be such a great surprise. I'm also really happy with the 2008 second gen dog I pulled, because I don't have it yet even though I have the rest of the litter. So I get to complete the set! The 2015 Halloween event dog is cool too.

I had an amazing pound catch yesterday, and it made me so happy. I've been wanting this cute little PPS horse for so long—it wasn't quite a dreamie, but it's been difficult for me to find and trade for, so getting it from the pound just makes it that much more special! On top of that, yesterday I got another great pound catch: the goat PPS! My pound luck yesterday was amazing! It's weird that the goat PPS is just an uncommon... but it's literally one of my favorite pets on the site regardless of its rarity. I put it in my 'showcase' group, too.
Sometimes I see people being extremely bitter about their pound luck. Lamenting that they don't know why they even try, or even wondering if other people cheat somehow. It makes me sad, and I really dislike comments like that... being a poor sport about something you're getting for free just feels wrong to me. I try to not look at the available pound pets before it opens, because then I do get a little frustrated when I don't see a single high-rarity pet on my page despite knowing that there are a ton of them! But I'd never share that frustration with others who are just trying to enjoy their time on CS!

My oekaki artwork got featured on the front page!! I made it a goal to learn how to draw, so this was a huge inspiration to keep going! I've definitely gotten more into the art community here on CS, which I'm enjoying a ton <3

I got this very common bwolf from the pound, and despite other probably more expensive pets being on the page I clicked this one, because it struck me as being new!:

When I first started CS in 2010 I never would have imagined ending up with even 1 '08 advent, let alone a 1 page hoard of them! Back in those days I was quite jealous of hoarders because I didn't have the means to have what they had... and for a while I was very against hoards in general. But then this dog (below) happened in 2013, and I suddenly understood the mindset of hoarders!

This dog reminds me of Welcome to Night Vale, which I was very into at the time & I started a whole hoard dedicated to it. I think I only got as far as 3 pages, but that in of itself is an accomplishment tbh! I disbanded this hoard when I came back from hiatus in 2022, because I stopped listening to WTNV. However I still really enjoy this design in general, so perhaps I'll start a mini tribute hoard to bring them back :)

I just achieved a HUGE dreamie of mine, the red Cerberus! Here's the trade, I'm quite happy with it!
I think I've never really considered this one a dreamie in the past because it just seemed so incredibly unattainable, even in dreams. In my experience, the orange cerb was easier to get than this one! Both of them are part of my Autobiography of Red collection, and I've dressed up this big guy to look more like Orthrus (2 heads and a snake tail):
Herakles's weapon of choice to slay the monster Geryon and his dog (Orthrus) was a hammer. Hence the bonk :)

I finally completed my 2013 slumber party collection! I ended up including some Christmas GUPPS's and such as well because I just think they're neat. I think this was the first event I really fully threw myself into, and I actually had almost all of the pets except for a handful when I came back in 2022! I ended up trading a lot of them away early on, but now I got them all back!

What a way to kick off the new year! I did the most insane trade today for an orange cerberus—link here
I didn't think I would ever surpass the previous most expensive trade I've ever done (for the eat me & drink me combo) but here we are! I ended up trading away a lot of pets I really liked, but honestly at this time super-old store pets take priority for me. I was initially aiming for a raven dog/red cerb combo because I like the red cerb more, but maybe in the future...

My girlfriend pointed out that it has the exact same colors as our kitten's first cat bed, which she still has, hence the name "cat bed".

I had quite a successful box opening on this year's re-release! I managed to snag all dogs, and even got a UR Aussie (which I have since traded away)! I've never had such great luck at the Dec.18 boxes <3
I also finished my secret Santa shopping for my giftee. I'm VERY proud of the gifts I've gotten them, I hope they like! I participated in Hoarder Secret Santa and regular Secret Santa this year, so I'm also looking forward to Christmas/Christmas Eve to send out & receive those presents too! Eyulf and I already exchanged gifts yesterday, which was also a ton of fun & a bit unexpected!
I want the new UR Dog so badly! It seems trading for it will be difficult though... I'm keeping my hopes up something good will come soon!

I got my balloon dog group in absolutely perfect order, after searching for so long!
I have made a very dear friend, Eyulf, while trading for the pets in this group, so they mean quite a lot more to me in sentimental value because of that. All I need is for CS to release a pixelated Nonballoon to go with its pixelated littermates!!

I achieved my biggest dream pet ever, the Black Eyed Galaxy Dog from 2008! The trade was accepted on August 25, 2022, 2 days before the 12th anniversary of my ChickenSmoothie career. What a way to celebrate! Here's the trade.
