Welcome to the CS Formula 1 Fan Club!!

I thought it would be fun to have a place on CS to chat about racing, specifically F1 at this time since that's what I watch the most, but if people want to open it up to other series like IndyCar, Formula E, NASCAR or others, then we may change to just being a racing fan club!

I have some ideas for fun activities (bingo, dress-up contests, art contests, etc.) that we can do in addition to just being a place to chat :]

𝙍𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙨:

1. Please ALWAYS be respectful of others! This means being respectful of everyone's identities, beliefs, and abilities. It can also be easy in sports spaces to trash talk, and while a light-hearted joke is alright, remember that every team/driver is someone's favorite, and we should be a place where everyone feels welcome to hang out.

2. I believe that since you can choose to avoid the fan club until after you've watched a race, there is not a limit on spoilers. You are welcome to post about a race during and immediately after it happens. But please follow these two guidelines:
xXx- DO NOT DOUBLE POST: If you post about a collision on lap 12, and no one replies before a great overtake on lap 27, please EDIT your post with your comments!
xXx- We should be able to know what moment your comment is about. Please make sure your posts have more substance to them than just, "Yikes! That was a close one." or "Fernando goated fr" (even if it is true).

3. CS's general rules always apply. Please remember not to share any personal information, even inadvertently. This means being careful saying things like, "[Driver]'s from the city I live in" or "[Driver] won WDC the year I was born" for example.

Who's your favorite team(s)?: Mercedes was my first fav, bc I'm a Hamilton girlie, but I also love McClaren and Ferrari!
When/how did you get into F1?: I got into F1 a couple years ago, but this is the second season where I'm able to watch the races live. I got into it for a mix of reasons-- my fyp kept giving me Smooth Operator clips, my cousin was sharing his Ferrari merch, and I was learning that I have family who competed (and WON!) in other racing series!
