Vessel for me!
Migraine was actually the first top song I listened to, but I didn't know who they were - I just liked the song. Then Stressed Out and Heathens released and I listened to them but again, didn't clock that it was all the same band.
The story of how I actually got into top is really stupid and really funny imo.
So I was like 11 years old, watching a Gabbie Hannah video on YouTube where she read her diary from when she was in like middle school I think? And in this diary she had written some very emo poetry with a line very similar to "Sometimes quiet is violent", from Car Radio. She made a joke about it (which I didn't understand), and played Car Radio in her outro. I literally had a "WHAT IS THAT MELODY" moment LOLLLL
I looked up Car Radio - twenty one pilots on YouTube and watched the music video. I have never experienced such a mindblowing experience like that before and I was immediately obsessed. 8 years later and they're still one of my favourite bands of all time! I got to go see them live in Dublin when I was 13 for the Trench tour, and I'm so excited to go and see them again this coming May. I owe so much to them, Vessel will always be my favourite album. It has Car Radio, after all! (And Trees. And Forest. And Guns for Hands. And Holding on to You. And-)
