Training Events wrote:Training events will take place fairly often. A link to the current training event
can be found below. Training events are to increase the skill stats of a dog.
All you have to do is complete the criteria of the event and the skill stats
offered by the event will be added to your dog. For example, an event may
offer +10 strength and +5 stamina, and require you to illustrate the training.
If you complete the task, your dog will be rewarded the points, and you may
earn a bell prize. Training events are not a competition between players.
Your work will not be judged based on how others do. Training events will
always offer two options: one for art, one for writing.
Races wrote:Races are put into place to give your dog a chance to earn titles, skill stats, etc.
There are 2 different types of sled races available:
Sprint; Sprint races are based on the team's combined speed (++), strength (+),
and stamina. Sprint teams consist of 6 dogs and their handler.
Distance; Distance races are based on the team's combined stamina (++),
speed (+), and strength. Distance teams consist of 12 dogs and their handler.
The +'s next to a skill show how heavily weighted that stat is in each
race type.
Races will also offer both an art and a writing option. In a race, you must
complete your entry to be entered into the race. However, it is your team's
stats that will be judged against others.
Singles; BWSDA also offers single dog sledding. In these races,
a single dog is harnessed to a weighted sled. These races require only
one dog to compete. They are judged based on speed (++), strength (++),
and stamina (+). These races also allow dogs to earn individual titles:
SD (sled dog)- awarded to winning dog
SDX (sled dog excellent)- must have SD; achieves standards for SD title
2+ times
SDM (sled dog master)- must have SDX; achieves standards for SD 4+ times
USD (ultimate sled dog)- must have SDM; achieves standards for SD title
6+ times
