Hello everyone, and welcome to Plumerian trick or treating! Please note, this is only for Plumerians (click the link above to find out more about the species!).
I'm guessing you want to know what in the world is going on, so let's get right to it! This is a halloween esc Art swap, with Plumerian costumes, funny tricks, and lots of treats!

October/1 - Happy October! In alignment with CS changing to Halloween, toting is now open! ^^

I'm going to try to be as detailed as possible with the steps of what to do. It is very similar to regular LoLo, so if you know the rules for that this will be simple to understand!

xx Grab your plumes choose which Plumerian/s you own that you want to go trick or treating. You can choose multiple.
xx Time to dress up! Either draw or commission someone to draw a costume for your Plumerian! You can either draw the costume directly on the plume's reference, or make a piece of art of them wearing it. Your costume has to be CS appropriate, and follow this.

xx Write a story write a story for your Plumerian who is going trick or treating. Each plume should have their own unique story. It should follow the requirements listed in the rules. Make sure it ends with the Plumerian knocking on a door/ringing a door bell.
xx Finish up! Read through the other posts as well, then put one of the stamps below that says your lights are off. Go down and copy and paste the form listed below. Fill it out, post it, and wait for a staff member to confirm/ask you to fix your form. Once you are confirmed, now the fun begins!

This next part does not start till October 1st.
xx Lights on/off. remember that stamp I had you put in your signature that says lights off? This is very important to the game. When someone's lights are on, you can go and trick or treat at their house. When someone has a lights off stamp, that mean they are not accepting trick or treaters at the moment, but will later on.
xx How to Trick or Treat? Go down to the list of people found below, and search around for someone with the lights on stamp. Send them a pm, that includes the costume you made, the plumerian's original ref (no costume) and your story. They will reply with art of your Plumerian at some point, and may reply with a small story of handing you a treat.

Rules will be broken up into three categories; Regular, Trick or treating, and giving treats/tricks. Please read through them all though!

xx Be polite and kind.
xxThere are warnings, strikes, and bans. warnings are for small corrections, and they don't add up to anything. Strikes are for larger problems caused, and they do add up. The first strike you get, you will be told to stop what ever it was, but allowed to keep participating. The second strike you are not allowed to post on the topic or trick or treat for two days. The third strike is no posting, accepting trick or treaters or trick or treating for 6 more days. On the fourth strike, you are banned from this topic and not allowed to accept any more trick or treaters, post, or trick or treat.
xxNo Whining. instead of saying "No 1 eva comes to trick or treat!!!!! u all are mean and I'm gonna cry!!!!", say "I haven't been getting a ton of trick or treaters, feel free to send me a pm! I'd love to do some art."
xxOnly post a 'add' every three pages. While you can post as much as you want with questions and chatting, you can only post things like "My lights are open come get art!" Every 3 pages. (If you posted a add on pg 3, you can't post another until pg 6.)
xxKeep your posts relevant. You can post things about Halloween or Plumerians, but don't start rambling on about your softball game last Friday. Also, this isn't for 1x1 conversations. If you are mainly talking to only one other person, bring it to pm.
xx Try to have fun. It's just a fun little game, try not to get too stressed out about it. If you are feeling stressed or worried for what ever reason about plume tot, feel free to contact me. I can try to help with what ever is bothering you, and make trick or treating a better experience.
xxTry to reply to someone else's post. Same as in the fanclub, please try to reply to someone else. It doesn't have to be a huge response, just a little one is fine. I'm not going to be super strict about this, it's more of a suggestion than a actual rule.

xx You must own a Plumerian to trick or treat. Non Plumerian characters and Plumerians you are trying out for cannot count for trick or treating. Nonowners, read the first rule under giving tots if you still want to participate.
xx Only trick or treat if their lights are on. Do not ignore if their lights are off, it is very rude. If you cannot find anywhere stating if their lights are off or on, then they probably aren't playing anymore.
xx You must have a stamp, or somewhere written that you are playing and what your lights are.
xx Your form must be approved first. until a mod or admin confirms your form, you may not start playing. If there are any problems with your form, you must fix them and repost your form.
xx 2+ paragraphs in your story. Remember, you are getting art for just a bit of writing. If a Admin/ mod feels that your writing does not show enough effort, they are aloud to ask you to expand it.
xx Your costume must follow this guide.(wip for now.)
xx Do not complain about art you receive. it is very rude, and unnecessary. If you think that the artist did not follow the rules, contact one of he staff members instead of publicly complaining.
xx Your reference for your costume does not have to be drawn over their official reference, but you must include a link to their official reference as well.

xx Non-owners can participate. You can still give out art and have your lights on if you don't have a Plumerian, you just cannot trick or treat. If you are interested in doing this, please pm me and I'll help you get set up. owo
xx You can give tricks. Tricks must however follow the art quality rules. If you want to give a trick, you draw the Plumerian as though the Plumerian has been tricked. This can include, but is not limited to; them eating rotten candy, their costume was switched with the artist's plumerian's, glitter being thrown on them, ect.
xx Traditional art can be colored or uncolored. Both must show markings, and be easily distinguishable. Colored art can be headshots or better (busts, full bodies, comics, ect). Uncolored must be full body or better.
xx Digital art can be colored or uncolored. Both must show markings, and be easily distinguishable. Colored art can be anything relating to that Plumerian that shows effort (pixel feathers with spiders on them, busts, color ins, ect.). Uncolored must be full body or better. Any questions about this or asking for acceptions must be sent to me.
xx Art must include the plume's costume. If you feel you cannot do part of the costume, talk to the trick or treater and see if it is alright with them to only include part of it.
xx You can commission other artists to do art for you, but you must check with the ToT-er and make sure they are ok with it.
xx You can color in blank line art you made or someone else made, but you must try to include the plumerian's costume on it. If the line art you want to use is not listed here you must ask the artist if it is ok.
xx If you are making color ins for others please make them fullbody or of about equal value. Things like them sitting on a pile of candy and you only see their front half is fine, as it still shows effort. owo

If you want to make a stamp, it must include the words "Plumerian ToT", "Plumerian", or "plume". It also has to link back here to this topic, so people know where to find it. ovo
I would recommend coloring in free to use stamps with either a plain grey plume with slightly lighter grey feathers (often used as a blank plume) or the brown plume you can see on the main page.

Can I draw my plume's costume traditionally?

Yes you can! While a digital reference is preferred, if you cannot make one you can draw one traditionally. You don't have to put details onto the plume underneath (it can be completely plain), but you must show details and color on the costume.

I'm worried about getting in trouble!

Don't worry about it! Pretty much the only way to get banned is being very rude and not willing to apologize. You won't get punished for mistakes, I promise. ^^ Strikes can be voided (only by me) if I feel that you did not earn the punishment/ you made up for it well enough.

Can I have another person's Plumerian in my story?

Yes! They must however officially own them. Please get their permission first, and I would recommend letting them read through your story as well. The story should be centered around your Plumerian though!

Can the staff get in trouble?

Yes they can, and if I feel they are causing trouble I will remove them from the staff. If you are having any problems with a staff member, please pm me and I will try to solve the problem. You won't get in trouble for privately telling me your problem with a staff member, but if you openly complain about them (or anyone for that matter) on the topic you get in trouble.

I need to contact you urgently!

I will try my best to be on as often as possible, but there is a 7+ hour period of time when I can't! On week days I'll be at school, and I won't be able to answer pms. My time zone is PST, so if I'm currently at school when you need to contact me, it may take a while! ono

You opened my pm but never replied?

I'm real sorry if I do this! Life is going to be very stressful for me with school, so I may open a pm and forget to reply. If I don't respond to you in a day or so please do send another message! I would really recommend labling it Plumerian ToT, so it ends up in the right folder. ovo

Can you dress up/ write stories for more than one of your plumes?

You can write different stories for your different Plumerians and dress them all up (and submit forms for all of them) but you can only trick or treat with one Plumerian at a single person's house. So if I had plumes named bob and Kyle, I could go trick or treat at your doorstep put I would have to choose one or the other. With the next person I trick or treat, I could choose the other one. ^^

Although it is the Plumerian Trick or Treat, do you want us to respond to the trick-or-treaters as us/our fursonas/mascots or as our Plumerians?

I'm going to say it's up to you, but I would recommend to do it as your Plumerian. To those who don't have a Plumerian however, you are more than welcome to use a non Plumerian character or just say "a Plumerian dressed as a [xx] opened the door". 'w'
