So what is this club about? Well, roleplaying, of course! Here you should feel free to talk about all sorts of things related to roleplaying and roleplays.
I plan to make the polls a big part of this thread and as such I will be sure to update the poll often to ask new and relevant questions. Depending on the amount of cs members participating in the polls I might update them anywhere between once a day to once every two or even three weeks. If you want new polls, advertise this thread!!! More people answering the polls means less time to wait for a new one!

About general role-play related topic(s) and/or about recent or current polls only. The Do Not Post list should give you a better idea of what is appropriate as far as the general role-play related topic(s) goes.
* Poll Suggestions *
Ever wonder about a certain aspect of role-plays? For instance, "Which genre of roleplays die the fastest?" Want to gain some insight about it? Send me a PM asking if I could make a poll for your question. In the PM I will need to know the exact way you would want the question phrased so as to avoid confusion. Please be patient and willing to compromise! Don't be unreasonable about the settings of the poll. I will determine how long a poll should stand and the number of answers to your question. I will consider, but not necessarily use, the answers you think should be given with your poll question. It is not necessary to provide answers to your poll suggestion.
* Helpful Criticism and Helpful Praise *
It is just as inappropriate to say "I hate fantasy rps!" without giving a reason as it is to say "I love fantasy rps!" without giving a reason. Instead of just stating your opinion(s), try to give reasons why you have that opinion. Ask yourself, "How can this role-play I dislike be improved?" and "What makes this role-play I like better than other rps?" then answer those questions in your post!
DO NOT POST:
* Opinions/Comments Stated Rudely *
Do not say: "If your role-play doesn't have at least eight characters it probably sucks."
Instead, say: "In my experience, role-plays that had less than eight characters died faster than the rps with eight or more characters."
* Inappropriate Material *
The rules on Chicken Smoothie state that ALL content must remain child-friendly- even questions about the rules! Do us all a favor (yourself especially) and go review the site and role-play rules before asking a question like, "Is it okay if I make my character say [insert nasty swear word]?" You will be penalized for posting material that does not comply with the child-friendly rule of cs! And anyway, there is no need to ask such questions as they will be answered in the site rules, here, and/or role-play rules, here and here.
*Question(s) about What is Alright to Post on Rps and What is Not *
Assuming you are obeying the site and role-play rules, the only other restrictions/demands you'll need to meet in your posts is the role-play owner's rules. Questions like "What different species can I make my character?" is something to ask the owner of the rp you're are wanting to join. Each role-play owner has different expectations so read the rules of the role-play (usually listed on the first page) or ask the owner if you're not sure. Above all else the site rules and role-play rules must be obeyed! If you come across a role-play where the owner is obviously and intentionally breaking cs rules you should report the thread immediately and not join the role-play. Any participants may be punished alongside the role-play owner!
* Discussion of Specific Rps and Members *
Though it is fine to post an opinion of a particular role play or roleplayer you've encountered, it is not okay to mention the player or roleplay by name or any other obvious tell-tale symbol. Do not, for example include this, "I can't believe how silly the rules are on the most popular humanoid fantasy rp active currently!" in your post. People could easily determine which roleplay you meant by going to the front page of that forum and seeing which thread is the most active. Do not include links to the roleplay or rolplayer you are talking about; do not specify the name of any roleplay or roleplayer either. In other words, keep any 'specific' information private. Be considerate of the roleplay owner(s) and/or roleplayer(s) you are speaking of - even if you dislike their way of doing things!
* Rants or Spam *
Yes, we've all encountered a role-play(s) where the owner has ridiculous expectations. A good place to vent off the irritation? Here! This particular thread however, is for polite conversation about the different aspects of various role-plays, our preferences while role-playing or joining a rp, and our experiences with role-playing/making only. Not for ranting.The title of this thread alone should tell you this is NOT the place to ask how much an item is worth. Or the place to write about how much you love Pokemon. Use your common sense to avoid making irrelevant (and highly irritating) posts. Deliberately posting spam is strictly forbidden site-wide (on any part of Chicken Smoothie); that includes this thread!

So how do I join?
Well I want to keep this thread very inclusive so there is no need to be "accepted". I would appreciate it if you would answer some questions just for knowledge sake though. You are more likely to find other roleplayers with the same taste as you if you have answered these five basic inquires! Whether you type out the form below or not you can start posting whenever you like!
Go into as much detail as you want in your answers.
Please keep in mind that I am not an employee of Chicken Smoothie. I am not even going to attempt to answer every question on this thread- I'm much too busy to do that. So, if you can answer a question that's been asked please do so! Eventually I will have to create an FAQ list but for now I do not know what questions people will ask 'frequently' so it will have to wait until I do know.
I am willing to consider trading pets and/or items for a banner but I must see the banner before the trade. You are more than welcome to make this thread a free banner if you'd like. (Side note: Please keep all banners relatively small for convenience sake.)
