PPS Club Announcements

~ This is where we will remind you of what is currently going on in the club, so be sure to check the announcements frequently.

~ Please repost your member form for the new thread. NiTi uses that to find PPS for the Featured PPS post.

~ There have been quite a few changes within the pps club & to keep it running smoothly, I would like to clear a few things up that have been brought to my attention.
For those who may not be aware of these changes:
1. I have recruited lainey_lane03 as a mod & I have also recruited Tweety. as an admin to help with some of the front page posts.
2. As stated below, mini modding is not permitted, however if you see a post that is inappropriate or is breaking the club rules, please don't hesitate to pm me & I will take care of it. If you wish, you can always report it as well.
3. Several help tickets were sent in regarding "trade talk" which led to a visit from our friend Sorren Fey who posted "The Clubs and armies board is a place for discussion not trading. Please keep your trade requests off this thread. They belong into the trade forum only." This is quoted & stated below as well ~ This includes, no offering, asking or hinting for a pet or trades & no striking out text or making the text "mini" if it has anything to do with asking, offering or hinting for a pet .
These are the club rules, but first and foremost, they are CS Rules.

Again, we want to keep the club running as smoothly as possibly & wish for this to be a fun hang out for everyone to enjoy

★ xXARROWXx's When I Grow Up Dress-Up Contest ★

Description/Objective:

For this contest, the objective is to dress-up any pps pet to portay and/or represent what did your PPS want to be when it was older or if it grew up? Example: Perhaps a cop? A fire fighter? A doctor? Etc..... Dress up your pets on there aspiring job attire/profession to give them a taste of what it would be like being an adult!

Rules/Dressup requirements

1. You must choose a pps pet.
2. Your pet must be dressed to portray one and only one "profession"/trade/job.
3. Only one (1) entry per person.
4. Please do not post any links that are not within CS! I will research your entry if need be. You may however post an image beings it's within CS rules & appropriate.
5. You must fill out the form below to be entered in the contest. All entries without the form will be disqualified.
6. You may not edit/change/alter your pet or the items once it has been posted. I cannot reiterate this rule enough! In past contests entries had to be disqualified simply because they posted their pet & then changed/edited/altered their pet. Posting your pet and saying "this is what I have so far, I still need to finish my dress-up" will get you disqualified as well because you have posted your pet. With that being said, be sure your dress-up is complete to your satisfaction before posting it.
7. This contest will end Saturday, July 26th EST ~ All entries posted after that will not be counted.
8. Contest entries will be posted and can be viewed
9. If you do not claim your prize within 5 days after the winners are announced, your prize will be forfeited & given to the next "runner-up".
10. Please be polite & refrain from whining if you don't win (remember, this is supposed to be fun & were all friends here )
11. All CS and Tess' rules apply! Remember to keep your entries/posts "child friendly".
12. Be creative with what items you do have! I've seen many members saying they would like to enter contests but don't have certain items......well, this is where your creativity comes in ~ want to use some dust & don't have any ~ use a cloud instead, also try layering different items.....you'll be surprised with what you can come up with! I always have an "other" in the form to enter the contest if you think there may be some confusion with particular items you used. I want everyone to have a chance to enter & most importantly, have fun!!
13. Now that you have read all the rules, please refrain from asking if you have been disqualified or not until the contest has ended and the winners have been announced. If you wish to know, please contact NiTi AFTER the winners have been announced.

Approximately once a week we will be featuring a different member's PPS. In order for your PPS to be featured, all you have to do is fill out the form in the first post & your favorite PPS will go into the "shuffle" to be featured. If your pps is featured & you would like to tell us a little about them, ie: when you adopted them/how you obtained them/how long it took you to get them/was this one of your dreamies/etc...whatever you would like us to know about your precious one ♥ You may even want to dress your little one up for their special week in the spotlight! I agree. We have never considered the fruit, veggies or pot as PPS and the Bee is this years similar release. Here is my reasoning:
A Bee is a full-grown creature. A young Bee is a larva and PPS pet is an earler stage of an adult creature.
Puppies -> Full grown dog
Kittens -> Full grown cat
Egg or Chick -> full grown Chicken
Cocoon or Caterpillar -> Butterfly
Bee is already in its final adult stage

So the Bee is not a PPS. But, since everyone can have their own opinion on this, the Bee will be allowed to be discussed here in this thread.

Have you ever wondered what your favorite PPS would look like if it were grown up? Sometimes we get to see when an artist makes both a PPS & a grown version in a litter. In addition, every December we get pets that are grown-up versions of PPS that were released during the year. These are called GUPPS (Grown Up PPS). Since we all love our PPS, we decided to show all the pairs of PPS & GUPPS.

Well hello there faithful member of CS! I see you have stumbled apon the PPS club? Welcome. I see you look a bit confused when you look down on our pages of chat. Let me help you out a little. Here are the commonly used terms to describe PPS and everything to do with them.

PPS - This is a small abbreviation for Peter Pan Syndrome. You can see the symbol PPS on some of your pets, right? Well that is what it means. If you are confused simply click on your pets image and it will show the phrase "what does PPS mean on this pet?" If you click there, this is what it says.

What is this text PPS on my pet?
This means that your pet has been born with a special syndrome called "Peter Pan Syndrome". Your pet will never grow up past the puppy stage, so you get to play with it as a puppy forever! Yay!

PPS Tags - Not all PPS have the PPS tag. If a PPS does come from a litter with other pets that grow, it will be given a PPS tag to show you its in its final stage. However, if a PPS pet does not come from a litter with other growing pets, it does not get the PPS tag.
EPPS get the same tag as regular PPS. GUPPS are not tagged.

EPPS - Extreme Peter Pan Syndrome or EPPS for short. This term is used to describe an animal which is born a PPS. It becomes PPS in its first stage. An EPPS is just like a PPS, but different in one way! - EPPS are always newborns.
Some examples of EPPS pets are:


GUPPS - Grown-Up PPS pets or GUPPS for short. Sometimes an artist will makes both a PPS & a grown version in a litter. Also, since 2009, at least one box of each year's December Advent Calendar has contained pets that were adult versions of previously released PPS pets.

Provide a short (or long if you wish), description of what profession/trade/job your pet is portraying:
Many people feel that they have stories/a story to tell.
An author is someone who writes to tell you those stories, whether it may be fiction or nonfiction.
If they aren't a well known author, they will have to pay a publisher to publish their book but if they are a well known author, they get asked by different publishers to get their book published with that publisher and the publishers will pay the author to get the book published with them.
Before a book gets completely published, they lend out small of uncorrected page-proof copies for people to read and praise (I myself have several unpublished books thanks to a book club I had joined, it is great because I got to read books no-one else had!). Because there is no set guidelines for authors (other than good story line, good grammar etc.), there is no one-size-fits-all job description.

She's a musician or a rocker in that case she writers and sings and loves rock and roll, the gummy bears are the audience... Since she is just starting out she doesn't have a big crowd.... The pile of coins and flowers are her fan gifts and money she made from the show, she's obviously a reader and that is her pet cat Mystic she takes her everywhere.
