Lumiletts are a strange, bio-luminescent species... Imagine you are walking through a forest. It is dark, and only the light of the stars are there to guide you. Then, you see it. A glimmering light peeking out of one of the bushes. A small creature, about the size of a small dog with its large ears reaching up to the height of your knee, hops into your path. It blinks once and flicks its tail before hopping back into the underbrush and vanishing.
That was a Lumirett.
Lumiretts are a forest-dwelling species that are friendly and fairly easily tamed. In the wild, they live in groups called Clusters. They are omnivores in that they love fruits, vegetables, nuts, and fish. They do not eat steak, and only chicken in desperate situations. They have been known to guide lost travelers back to campsites using their tail lights as a guide by sticking them straight up like a beacon. That "wisp," as they are called, above their backs is not a wing. It is more of a decoration and is used to attract other Lumiretts. The wisp is always the same color as the glow.
There are different types of Lumiretts.
A few types of Lumiretts have been discovered, but there are more.
Day- Day Lumiretts have more pastel colors, with shades of blue and other more bright colors. Their glow has a yellow tint. They are, as to be expected, more commonly seen in the daytime.
Earth- Earth Lumiretts are the colors of the ground and earth, and are very nature-y. They often have browns and greens, and their glows can either be those or yellow like a Day's. In fact, they are slightly a variation of day. They are also active in the same hours.
Night- Night Lumiretts have darker colors such as black, dark blue, and gray. Their glow is more bright than a normal Lumirett's, and is a white or grayish hue, and sometimes yellow. They are mostly nocturnal.
Dawn/Dusk- Dawn and Dusk Lumiretts look the same, but their periods of activity are different. Dawns are awake around 4 AM, and calm down around 9 AM- however, they do not sleep right away. That is just the time that they are out and feeding. Dusks are out from about 5 PM to 10 PM. Once again, they do not sleep right away. Their colorings are bright and blended, with colors from purple to yellow, and their glow can vary in the colors of the sunrise and sunset.
Moon- Moon Lumiretts are a variation of the Night Lumiretts. They are nocturnal and also have very bright glows that are white, but their bodies are much brighter and can be light gray to a misty blue. Albinism is most common in this variant.
Ice- Ice types are pastel blues and whites. Ice shards and crystals can grow from their shoulders, backs, and tails, and occasionally their heads and legs. They are usually in snowy forests and they migrate and many can be found during the wintertime. They enjoy the glowing things, and sometimes their ice can glow. Their breath is cold most of the time and can be seen even in summer, spring, and fall.
Jewel- The Jewel type is the most colorful at all. They can have any colors, both on their body and their glow. They are more rare than other variations. They are very playful, and are active whenever they feel like it. They enjoy keeping shiny things as trinkets.
Fire- Fire is the rarest type at all. They are spotted near areas that are charred from forest fires, or are drawn to a campfire. Contrary to popular belief, they do not start fires, nor are they omens of bad news. In fact, they plant the seeds of the fruits, veggies, and plants that they find in the soil as to begin the forest's regrowth. That is all that is known of Fire Lumiretts, other than their colors. They blend in to ashes and embers, being black, red, orange, and yellow. They most commonly have glows that look like flame themselves, with black bodies, but can be any combination of the aforementioned colors.
Breeding-Only Types
These will be updated as they are discovered. Breeding-only types can have colors different from their parent's, occasionally.
Cloud- Cloud types are made when a Earth and Moon type have Lumiletts.
Star- Star types are made when an ice and night type breed.
Sun- Produced when day or night breed with fire.
Artists will create Lumiretts. Simply click on their picture on the main thread, and follow the instructions that the artist set up.
DO NOT:
-Beg
-Whine
-Spam
-Try to bribe the artist
-Guilt-trip the winner
-Own more than 5 Lumiretts
On this thread...
~ Do not post spam, post one word posts, or hold 1x1 conversations.
~ Do not post begging for help on a "dream Lumi". Not every Lumi that walks by is your utter dream. Please do not act so, it guit-trips people from entering for Lumiretts that they like.
~ Respect the staff.

To breed Lumiretts, you must:
-Own one or both of the parents
-The parents have been mates for 1 week at least
-Fill out a form when an artist has an open slot
Each person gets two baby slots. Lumiretts can breed once every 3 weeks. If you adopt someone else's Lumiretts' baby, it counts towards your 5. Lumiretts can breed up to 6 times. If you feel that you can no longer care for your Lumirett, you can:
Put it back up for readoption. You can choose either I or one of the artists to put it back up, and a new owner will be selected. Be sure that you do not want him or her, as you can not get them back!
Gift it. To do this, choose the person you want to get it. Make sure they want it. Then, PM both Obelisk and whoever made it.
