"Come on now Rikka, must I tell you a thousand times! We must go meet the elder! Now! Lets get it moving!" a loud, shrill voice rang out from outside their cave. A young wolf grumbled to herself, curling her upper lip in a sign of agression. "Bleh, bleh, bleh. We must do this, we must do that. Cant, for once, we just leave me alone..." she murmured, shaking out her pelt as she stepped into the warm sunshine of the dawn. Rikka looked down the path to her mother, face furious as to be kept waiting, and her father standing to the side. Face black, as usual, but his eyes showed eagerness. "At least someone is happy to be going. Not that my opinion matters at all.. As usual." Rikka said to herself, looking from them to the ground beneath her paws. The young wolf closed her eyes, calming her breathing, tuning out every sound except for the dull throbbing of her heart in her chest. Rikka felt the soft breeze blowing through her brown fur, feeling the flow of the ground underneath her. Slowly, before her eyes, rocks that surrounded their den rose upward to the sky, floating in a slow, circular motion. Rikka opened her eyes to see them, and a small smile appeared on her face. "At least I am the most accomplished one of the tribe in years.." She began to walk foreward slowly, not in a rush to catch up to her family. She looked at the rocks as they followed her, conroling them with ease as if it was child's play. How other's of her tribe could not do this with ease was beyond her comprehension. "Lets go Rikka! Now! We cannot be late! We must see about your training!" Her mother's voice broke Rikka's thoughts. Well, I guess it is not the most promising thing in the world... To be the first earthbender born in generations.. How are some stuffy monks going to teach me anything... she thought, before bounding off to catch up. "Coming!"
As Rikka and her parents walked along the dirt path of the village, all was silent. The young female looked to the sides, seeing many tiny heads appearing out of dens. Young pups stood in awe as she passed, wagging their tails. As if she was someone important. To be respected. All new benders were. The older wolves stood tall, bowing their heads in the presence of the new bender. Rikka curled her nose upward, not interested in their pleasentries. What did it matter anyway? "Rikka. Behave yourself.." her mother growled beneath her breath in a threatening tone, looking back at her daughter with dagger's for eyes. Rikka rolled her eyes, pressing into her father's warm hide for comfort. "It will be fine Rikka. It is..what is best.." he said in a low voice, trying to comfort his only child. As the small famly arrived at the elder's den, they sat patiently in waiting. The elder wolf appeared, old in his years, brown fur stained with the whiteness of age. "Welcome Rikka. Come, it is time for you to go. Your future awaits." Rikka shuttered at the thought of leaving. She was only a yougnling. Rikka kissed her mother and father, and reluctantly turned to follow the elder down a long, winding path.
Rikka followed reluctantly behind the elder of her tribe, head and tail raised high. She felt he did not deserve her respect, he was no bender. Plus, he was old... She kept her distance from him as well, letting him walk a good few feet infront of her. He supposidly knew what he was doing anyway.. All was silent for a good hour, all except for the birds. The elder finally decided to break the silence. "Rikka, come. We will take a short break next to the creek. We are almost their, anyhow." Rikka paused in mid-stride, lowering her head in warriness. "Sure.." she murmured softly, casually trotting to lap up some water. She looked over to the older wolf, sitting alone underneath an evergreen. Rikka kept her distance, instead sitting down next to the creek. She looked at the multi-colored rocks at the bottom, and easily rose them to the surface and above her head, flicking them one by one back into the water. "Rikka, do you enjoy your powers?" the elder said, looking to her with a kind expression. Rikka, dumbfounded, shrugged her shoulders. "Well... Is it not right to enjoy them? Everyone in our tribe wishes to have these powers, to prove themselves to the other elements that we still exist... It would be..wrong, to not enjoy them, for the pack.." she answered quietly. "But, you do not feel that way." the elder countered, cocking an eyebrow. Rikka lowered her eyes, knowing he saw through her plot. "No, I do not. Having the whole pack revere you, when you do not want it. Having the other elements hatred upon my shoulders alone now. No, I do not enjoy it. But, I cannot let it on to the others." Rikka replied. The elder nodded. "My father felt the same way young one. He was the last bender, before you. He was not as strong-willed as you though." he chuckled. "Come, let me show you something my father tried to teach me. A lost art, you could say, from the best bender known to wolf kind. Even if I cannot use it, you surely can." Rikka padded over, and listened to all he had to say. When he was finished, Rikka smiled. "Thank you elder. I am sure this is more than the monks can ever teach me." The elder chuckled. "Maybe so... Rikka, this is where I leave you. You must go on alone." The young wolf nodded, continuing down the long path.
As Rikka came to the edge of the old, worn dirth path, she decided to take a pause. Breath in the last breath before her new life came. She was not willing to accept this. This was not the only way to train. Why couldnt she be alone with the earth, learn from nature itself, instead of some stuffy monks? They would be demanding, and hand down punishment. Rikka was not one to take that kindly. She would not take it at all. They had another thing coming if they thought she was one to listen well. Flicking her ears back and holding her head high to the heavens, Rikka stepped onto the territory she would now call home. For god knows how many years, she would be stuck in this hole. The downfall of being a bender.. The young wolf looked around the area, scanning it for anything and everything that might possibly be useful. Never know what you could use a large, unusually shaped tree for. "Good place to hide from the monks." she chuckled, stepping into a dimly lit cavern. The fire never faultered, even in the draft that blew through the cave. "Eternal fire. A gift many ages ago from the fire benders." a voice echoed throughout the area, causing Rikka to jump. "I noticed you admiring them." a wolf said, about a few years older than her, as he stepped from the darkness. "Admiring is not the word I would use." Rikka retorted, stepping closer. "You are the new earth bender, yes? The head monk sent me to get you. Come with me." the wolf said, turning onto his feet quickly. Rikka growled, but followed.
The wolf, who later revealed himself as Lorin, led Rikka down a long passageway, and soon out of the cavern. They appeared in a wide, zen-looking clearing, with flowing creeks and lush greenery. Rikka was impressed, but would never have let that on. "You will report here everymorning before dawn, as the others do, to meditate. Then, you will do your training with us. We may not be benders, but have learned the knowledge passed down by them, so you will learn an adiquate amount during your years here. We are here to help you master your abilities." Rikka flattened her ears down aginst her skull. "Yah, I bet.." she murmured to herself, abandoning that lump to go investigate by herself. He didnt even seem to notice.. As she trotted along, taking in her new 'home', Rikka had seen some of the others giving awkward glances her way. They were all so..stuffy and proper. Not the way she did things; Rikka was no way near proper. The glances seemed....demeaning. Like she was something horrid, a curse that must be rid of. I mean come on, I know I am not exactly what they are looking for but... It is not like I am completely useless.. she thought to herself. "Wandering around the area alone, bender, is frowned upon during..meditation." a slithery voice called from behind, causing a startled Rikka to jump in a devensive position. Teeth bared and hackles raised, she stared at who she could tell was the head monk, if that was such a title. "Then shouldnt you be frowned upon, monk." she retorted easily, composing herself before him. No response. They sat in silence for a minute or two, tension building between them. "Come with me, I will show you your rounds of the day. Everyday that you live here, you live it with dicipline." Rikka gagged inside, curling her lip upward as she reluctantly followed...
Everyday was the same. Rise before dawn. Wash yourself in a nearby creek, look presentable, with an emotionless face. Walk the long walk to into the cavern. Meditate, for hours on end. Rikka had not exactly mastered the art of this. There was too much to fret about as it was, and calm did not exactly come easy. After meditation, go to study with the stuffy head monk. For even more hours. Then finally eat at the end of the day, and rest alone in her den. Day in, day out. Repeated the same. At the end of the first week, the tired female flopped down infront of her den, onto her side. What kind of life is this... there is no freedom at all. Surely this is not what the road to becoming a bender is.... she thought sullenly to herself. Rikka easily picked up rocks that scattered at her feet, flinging them aginst the trees in a rythmic pattern. She had mastered everything that the monk had taught her with ease. She knew that already. He did not seem happy about her actually learning quicker than most. That was unusual. Rikka also noticed she was treated differently than the other monks. Unusually, with less respect. Was that normal. The sound of voices broke her concentration, and pulled her attention away. Rikka rose to her feet, following the sound eagerly to the backgrounds of the wooded area.
The voices were muffled, as if they did not want to be heard from prying ears, such as Rikka's. She had to listen close and block out everything else just to hear their mere whispers. The voices were familiar; Lorin and the head monk. It was quiet at first, then it turned into an argument. "But elder, you cannot be so rash. Yes, she is not what we are looking for, but Rikka is all we have.." Lorin defended, lowering his tail in submission. "That bender is a complete abomination to our society! Who does she think she is, with her attitude and actions. She is no better than the rest of us. That pathetic female. Since when has there ever been a female here? This training is for capable, male wolves, not filthy mutts such as herself. And from that village too.. They know nothing.." the monk retorted savagly, pacing back and forth quickly. "But sir, you said yourself she is more capable than anyone we have ever trained, even the males..." Lorin whispered, but was cut off. "I know I said that Lorin, it does not mean it is right!" Rikka snarled, stepping out from the shadows. "Right? Who are you to speak of what is right!" she growled, bearing her sharp fangs agressivly. The monk looked dumbfounded, and angry, while Lorin stood there in awe. "You have no right to speak of such things you know nothing of. And yes, I am not a male, but I am damn better than all of you males here put together! So when you go saying I am pathetic, take a good look at yourself, monk, for you are no better than scum." Rikka spat angrily, her anger coming out in waves that shook the whole area. Buildings of stone toppled in as she turned on her heels and sped away.
Rikka ran as fast as her feet would carry her, away from this god forsaken prison. She thought back to her tribe, and her own elder. He knew more than these pathetic monks. And his words as he taught her those weeks ago. Sometimes it is better to take yourself out of the equation. My father said that nature was the best teacher an earth bender could have... Was there a hidden meaning behind this? Did he mean to say that this was not her place.. That she should go out in the world to learn... Rikka chuckled, figuring that was the best option she had. She raced on and out of the cavern, past her den. The tree she noticed at her arrival, Rikka decided to jump upward, carried their by pillars of rock she summoned from the earth. As a bird, she flung herself off of the branches, toward mountains she could see in the distance. Landing on her feet, Rikka kept going, not even thinking about stopping. "Anywhere out there..is better than a lifetime with those monks.." she panted through heavy breaths. Rikka knew that she would benefit more from nature. So she never looked back once to her past life. She travels the mountains calm corners, learning from nature itself. Ocasionally other benders. The young pup grew into a wise female, a very talented earth bender. And she still travels today, more capable than any male of her generation.

Story:
With soft pawsteps and a big smile, Fae began awakening the others whom lay within the den. She began with Joel, cuddling close to a stuffed rabbit he loved so much.
"Rise, young canine. There is talk of a carnival that has come to the woods" She sang.
The sleepy, chill boy just looked at her through squinted eyes. He then yawned a large, over-exaderated yawn, and stood.
"Carnival?" Joel asked.
He watched Fae nod, and sighed.
"Well, maybe they will have something yummy.... i'm starved"
With a happy yip, Fae coxed the others awake, and picked up a total of 4 juicy bones, to pay for tickets. Torsnin purred and streched, then took the bone.
"Wont it be slightly odd to have a Bobcat at a carnival...?" She asked.
Fae smiled and shook her head.
"My child, your species will not matter" She smiled.
Torsnin smiled softly. She really kinda hated it that Fae talked so much like an indian, but that was just how it was.
"Hey! Luc! Just don't eat anyone this time, kay?" Joel called as they set out.
Lucifer's Night glared, "No promices....."
The carnival was really only a short walk away, and as soon as the group arived, they dispersed, getting armbands to ride everything.
The carnival was huge, and Torsnin got a hefty surprize when she found that her favorate Show Cougar from TV was preforming all kinds of tricks, stunts and otherwise. She just about fainted when the verry same celeberty asked her to be the special assistant.
Joel was more than happy to pretty much clean out the entire free foot buffet. He had a few angry tigers on his tail for a while, but hey, for the food-loving pup, it was all worth it.
Fae was able to meet some other canines of an indian herritige, and was more than happy to hang out with them the entire time. Rides are always funner when you have stuff in common with the people you are with.
Lucifer's Night? Well, he tried to eat the Ferris Wheel.....

Xavier, Damon{Not a real character}
Story:
Somewhere along a country road, in a rickety old pick-up, a male husky/wolf mix named Xavier flicked his ears. He was fast asleep, his head resting on his mechanical left arm, a small glowing pulse of green light coming from the arc reactor in his chest. As the speeding truck driven by a twenty year old man hit a tree, Xavier was thrown into the back of the drivers seat with a thud. He landed sprawled out in a mess of fur and metal, now he was awake. Xavier struggled to right himself, and peeked over into the driver's seat to see that his master, Austin, was unconscious with his head planted on the steering wheel. He could see blood dripping slowing from a cut on his face, and the truck was rammed into a tree, the windshield smashed to pieces. Now Xavier could see why they had wrecked, a hoard of walkers was slowly moving towards them. Xavier let out a yelp, he knew that if the walkers reached Austin, they would eat him, and turn him into one of them. The pandemic had started exactly 6 days ago, from what Xavier had watched on the TV, scientists has been testing a new drug called Centraline on people, it's purpose was to vaccinate for every type of sickness that could be caught from animals. Little did they know that for some reason, it would turn the humans into zombies, or "Walkers" as Xavier liked to call them. Now there were barley any survivors left, just a few gangs and groups, some loners, all just trying to survive. Xavier and his master Austin were all alone, which made this situation even worse. Xavier couldn't just let Austin be turned into one of those things, so he sprang into the front seat and pulled Damon's head up with his teeth by his shirt collar. Now that he had him in a sitting position, he began to lick his face harshly. "Come on, we have to go!",he yelled, though if Austin could hear him it just sounded like a bark. Austin slowly began to twitch to life, he was now coherent enough to see what was happening. "You all right boy?", Austin murmured as his cupped his face in his hands, wiping away the blood. Xavier looked back outside and saw the walkers were advancing, he growled and nudged Austin roughly. Austin nodded to him, he tried to open the door, but it would budge, now he brought his leg up to kick out the glass. That's when Xavier has an awful realization, Austin wasn't going to be alright. He looked at Austin's leg, it was serrated in all kinds of places, the bone was showing through at the knee. "Austin?",he yelped as his human made the same realization.
Austin had spent a few minutes trying to see if he could get out of the truck but it was no use. He turned to Xavier and smiled, ruffling his companion's fur with one hand, while shielding his bloody leg from view with the other. He looked up at the setting sun through the cracks in the windshield and sighed, "Seems like this is where we part ways boy", he said without looking back at Xavier. "No come on, you have to try, I won't leave you!",he said, his words still just coming out as barks to his master. "Why can't you understand me?",he growled wishing that for just a moment his master could understand his words. Austin just looked down at him with an expressionless face and grabbed the big hybrid, pushing him out the smashed window. Xavier tried to scrabble back in, but it was no use, Austin was using all of his strength to get him out. Now Austin looked at his faithful companion, sitting on the hood of the truck as it began to rain, his fur beginning to get soaked. "Get out of here!",he yelled, tears starting to roll down his face as he realized this would be the end of their friendship. In a last gesture, Austin took the dog tag necklace off of his neck and slung it onto Xavier's. He gave him a smile, tears still streaming down his face, "It's been dam good having you around boy, remember that I love you, always will. Now LEAVE!",he yelled, his voice cracking. Xavier nodded to his master in a gesture of obedience, he felt the necklace slap against his neck and chest as his master told him to go. He gave one last look to the advancing hoard of walkers and looked back into Austin's eyes. "Until we meet again, old friend",he said even though Austin couldn't understand him. With one last bark to Austin, he shot off into the dark forest, the rain plastering his fur down, slightly hiding the green glow of the arc reactor in his chest. Austin's necklace clinking slightly as it hit his metal arm. Now that he felt he was a safe distance away, he turned around, barley able to make out the truck.
Austin was looking to where Xavier had run, he smiled and saluted his best friend. "See you on the other side boy", he said before flicking open the cover to his lighter. He stared at the flame for a second, then was jarred when the walkers started smashing into the truck to get to him. "Go to hell",he said in a strangely calm voice, before throwing the lighter onto the hood where it met gas and oil, throwing the whole truck into flames. Xavier lurched back as he saw the truck explode into a unrecognizable heap of flames. A single tear escaped his eyes as he started to walk back farther into the forest. His head slung low, his ears drooping. Right now he was numb with hatred, with fear, and and with sadness. He had just lost the most important thing in his life. Now he was left alone to survive the walkers and whatever other dangers would present themselves to him. After what seemed like ages of walking through the now pitch-black forest, he came to what looked like an abandoned trailer. There was a small whole in the side, big enough for him to squeeze through, using his mechanical arm as an anchor, he jumped and caught it, scrabbling inside where it was equally as dark and cold, but it was better than sleeping in the rain. He shook his fur out, now his arc reactor cast a strong green light around him, and he could see the whole place was empty. Bone tired and freezing, he jumped up onto the table, and curled into the pile of linens. He was finally at peace, and he dreamt about all the good times he'd had with Austin.

Pride
Pride is apart of a book I am writing, and this is the first chapter describing him and where he is at.
Story:It was raining
...
Correction. It was pouring.
It is spring, you can always tell. Animals come from their hiding from the cold winter months and rejoice with the ending of the cold weather. Heavy rainfall is not uncommon during the spring months, and lots of floods happen near the south from the loose soil. This is the continent Periza, the most civilized continent out of the three. It was the first continent to have any creatures become more intelligent than the ones around them. It’s a temperate climate, the north being cooler then the south. The north is the most developed region on this continent, since there are more cities’ then small towns. The southern part of Periza is dotted with cities, which mostly around a large body of water. Small towns though are scattered across the land, you just have to look. Though, there's now a new age of discovery and adventure that has shined through the continent of Periza. The Evolved want to settle the southern part of the region and start their own life, business, or even their dream. Land is cheap, and there's lots of it to go around. It’s also a great time for workers, and so they travel as well down south to stake their claim on the region. It’s what every adventure hungry animal is waiting for; it just takes the right creature to take up on what it has to offer.
The land glistened from the rain as it poured down through the plains. Mice, rabbits, and other various creatures scattered for cover as the clouds pelted them with watery missiles it seemed. The sun was just starting to set, and a eerie gleam of the sun shined through the valley as it disappeared for the night. It was spring, the nights were humid, though they were short. A light fog settled over the plain, and the frogs chirped their night toons. Occasionally there would a nightly shower, which was happening that night. It cooled the land and brought fresh water to the plants and animals. The land was silent, except for the occasional hoot of an owl and the chirping frogs.
Pride grunted as he trudged through the wet grass, not to happy that he was getting all wet. His hat was soaked and was uncomfortable, and his chain necklace around his neck was cold against his pelt. Though he knew he was only a few miles away from the small town of Perfection, so he might a swell keep going. "I thought that darn cat said that the weather would be clear." he grumbled. A few days ago, Pride noticed in the town he was currently in at the time that Perfection was looking for help on the coal mines, so said the billboard up front by the 'Help Wanted' board. Noticing they were paying pretty high, he was curious why not a lot of people were jumping in on this good deal. Without a second thought, he sent word to the messenger owl to sell the owner of the mine that he is coming to work. He told the boss that it will be two days tops to get there, so Pride had to keep moving if he didn't want to get on the bad side of his new boss.
So Pride kept going, even though as the night wore on that he was starting to get a chill. It may be humid in this part of the region, but it still can get pretty cold if there was a rain going on in the middle of the night. Letting out a sigh, Pride picked up the pace and went onto a steady trot, shaking his head when a few drops of water would get in his eyes. Glancing up since he was keeping his head down to further avoid any more drops of rain interfering with his vision, he then noticed a few lights way off into the distance. Deciding that it wasn't too far away, Pride ducked his head again and cantered on towards the lights, knowing that it was the town that he finally reached. His paws crumpled the wet grass beneath them, leaving a small trail from where he had come from. "If I knew that it would take this long to get here, I would have hitched a ride on a carriage." mused the silver fox. Pride then finally hit the dirt road where the travelers carriages did their rounds, then picking up more speed since the grass wasn't holding him back anymore.
Pride reached the town in good time, but now dog tired from traveling. It was late when he got there, and the rain had finally calmed down to a slight drizzle. The streets of the town, which was mostly compacted dirt like most of the towns around this region, were wet and sloppy. There was a decent amount of business in the town, you know, the usual. There was the county control, saloon, restaurant, hotel, etc. There was only a few animals out, one being a short-haired orange cat who seemed to be traveling with his friend who was a tabby, but they quickly ducked into the saloon. There was also a Great Dane, mostly white though had a few speckles of black coating his fur. He looked like a traveler, such as himself. The Great Dane looked tired, his fur wet. He wore a normal western hat, though his ears hung out from the side. The dog seemed to notice the he was being watched and looked in Pride's direction, though Pride quickly ducked his head and went on his way. The Great Dane watched him for a moment, narrowing his eyes before entering in the local hotel. Pride glanced back to where the Great Dane had left, then turning his head back and entering in a restaurant.
The restaurant was clean, the walls seemed to have been painted not too long ago. The foundation wasn’t new though, it was probably a good 15+ years old from the looks of the wear and tear. It was painted in a brownish cream color, the trim a dark brown. Round wooden tables, a few set for a larger group of visitors, and other tables meant for two which were all in the middle of the room. To the left was the counter near the entrance where a worker would greet you and show you to your table. A small sign was standing up near the entrance, telling you the specials of the day in bright chalk. Way in the back right was a door, probably where the kitchen was since you could hear the ruckus of the workers as they busy themselves to make food. Paintings of flowers and wildlife were up on the walls, giving the small restaurant and calm and welcoming atmosphere.
After Pride was finished examining the surrounds, a female terrier with a small apron around her waist escorted him to his table. There was only two other customers in the restaurant, which were two old beagles that seemed to be a couple going out for a Sunday night meal. As Pride took a seat down, his back legs sitting down on the chair and his front legs up on the table. He slouched slightly, his shoulders still tense from the travel. "Have you decided on what you wanted to eat?" came the high pitched voice of the terrier, giving a welcoming smile. Reading the name tag, Pride figured out her name was April. "Yes...I would like a bison steak, warmed not cook." smiled Pride, sliding over his menu with his paw. April nodded, grabbing the menu with her mouth and carried it back to her work station. She then went to the kitchen and shouted out Pride meal, then leaving as the cooks hurried to make the meal. Pride noticed that the old couple that were seated only a few tables to the right were looking at him, but when he glanced back they were going on with a conversation they were having. Raising a eyebrow, Pride decided it was nothing, leaning back against his chair as he waited for his food.
Pride sighed as he took the last bite of his bison meat. It was a little overcooked, but it was still good, and he wasn't going to complain. The waitress came over and gave him a bill, then taking his plate away and carrying it to the sink. Pride dropped a few silver coins on the table, leaving one as a tip for the waitress, then went on his way out of the restaurant. He trotted over across the street; he didn't have to look both ways before crossing since there was nobody else out in the streets at this time at night. Pride padded up to the hotel, hesitating before walking in. The hotel was nice, clean, and orderly, somewhat similar to the nice little restaurant across the street. The room was painted in a nice deep red, though with occasional designs of white flowers scattered across the room. There was a small lobby to the right, a table set out for breakfast meals and a few cushioned chairs and side tables for animals to sit and read. No one was in the lobby though at the time, so the place looked a bit empty. With one last look around, Pride padded up to the counter and tapped the bell. A few moments later a tall black lab came to the front of the desk. "Hello, i'd like to stay here for a around 5 nights." said Pride, leaning against the counter and glancing around. The lab nodded, giving him a room key saying 'Room 17' , "If you need anything, please ring the bell or come down to the front desk." grunted the lab, obviously tired and wanting some sleep. Pride then nodded, walking down the hallway past the lobby.
His room only a few doors down, past the corner, but when he took the turn he collided with something big...and breathing. Looking up sheepishly, he noticed it was the Great Dane. Gulping, he wondered if the dog wanted any trouble, or was here in the town for trouble. The Great Dane looked down at him, looking annoyed that he was stopped so abruptly, but a curious twinkle started in his eye. The dog seemed to study Pride, and what seemed like forever, the Great Dane moved around him and walked away, but not until saying, "Have a nice stay, pup."
Pride stayed there for a moment, thinking over what happened. What was up with that? questioned Pride, glancing back over his shoulder to look where the Great Dane had walked away. Shaking his head, Pride slowly got himself back onto his paws and walked to his room, entering and closing the door behind him. Pride let out a exhausted sigh, jumping on the bed and stretching, "I can see a long day ahead of me tomorrow, I better get some rest." he yawned, then crawling under the covers and going into a deep sleep. The distant sound of a hoot from a owl rang across the town, but then was silenced a few cries of a wolf rang out across the small town of Perfection. Everything went silent.

Story:
News simply spread too quickly. How the information got from southern Asia to the northern part of South America, it's hard to tell, but the news reached Ahbrigo, working on his outdoor survival and fighting skills, with a sudden bang. How could the news really be true? Ahbrigo had been waiting all of his life for something exciting like this to happen. He'd been waiting for the very longest time for an excuse just to pick up that armour and use all of those hours of training and the previous battle experience for something that would actually matter. And now? Now it would all be real, an actual occurence instead of just an odd existence that hangs sour in the air, leaving everyone with nothing to say. Now it wouldn't be a myth, but fact, and it would all start with him. It was because he was telling himself all of this that Ahbrigo traveled by himself to South Asia. If you was going to meet the enemy head-on, then he was going to meet him face to face.
~~~
Ahbrigo poked him nose in the sand, whiskers twitching, as he found a piece of metal. Is was junk, so he thought, and he'd noticed it from when he was exploring. He'd been trying to memorize his surroundings ever since Alexander the Great's heredity had been found in the area. This man had been DNA tested, and apparently, he was of the bloodline of Alexander the Great, the original destroyer that caused the end of the Persian Empire. Ahbrigo, being the stubborn and vengeful person he is, of course insisted on coming all of this way, just to gain his dignity and his nation again. Ahbrigo could do it, and he would. He would raise the Persian Empire back up, and it would be as large and powerful as the days when Cyrus the Great ruled it. It all made so much sense in his own mind, that he couldn't imagine how he'd never thought of it before. He would defeat Alexander the Great's descendant, gain dignity, and take over the more modern-day nations and make them all part of his own nation, which of course, he himself would rule. It wouldn't quite be a monarchy, him hating kings, but it would be close, and he would rule it all. After all, there were more than one Babylon, even though all of them ended up eventually failing. What goes up must come down, but Ahbrigo skipped this thought as his whoel plan raced again through his mind. Now, he poked his nose on the cold metal again, freezing it as he sniffed, so shocked by the scents. It smelled of nothing but dirt. There was no sure trace of a scent of an owner, and not a hair was left in the piece to identify just who it might have belonged to. All he knew was that it seemed to go with him rather well, and it seemed as if it was meant to be. He couldn't really explain it, as he didnt have any supernatural beliefs, but he was sure that somehow, just somehow, it had to be related to the spirits of his ancestors. The piece of scrap was a helmet, the true sign of battle, the completion of a set of armour. And even more shocking was the fact that it matched his own armour, piece by piece.
He looked at it, intriqued, but confused. He wasn't about to accept this as a gift from the nonexistent "gods" of the common religion. There had to be some catch to it. He wasn't quite sure what would happen concerning the helmet, but he knew he couldn't wear it until he found it out. Even so, just the same, he picked it up and lugged it around on his back. The helmet made an awful screeching sound as its metal rubbed against the metal already on him; his armor. It left the faintest scratch on the back of his armor, and the helmet's edge poked into his back as part of it rested over the netting. Ahbrigo tried to get it to roll up his shoulders a bit, hoping to prevent the metal from cutting his netting. Slightly, it held his armor together. Ahbrigo began to mentally and physically prepare himself for the upcoming task. He was going to have to do what any army leader needed to do. Find his army.
Searching out the warriors and convincing them that this was serious proved to be harder than any battle itself that Ahbrigo had ever experienced. Ahbrigo first looked to the Medes. Before he did anything, he was going to need an ally. He casually walked into the city, and asked to speak to the king. Two guards went into the room in the palace with him, and they took care to make sure that his weapons were removed from his armor. They were not taking any risks of their king being killed. Ahbrigo sat down with the king and explained everything to him, from the very beginning. "I won't kill you if you ally with me" was the sort of thing that he was going for. The latter. He told the king of everything, of his bloodline, his desire, and his strength. He promised a win, and guaranteed that his empire would rise, and the Persian Empire would help the Medes prosper peacefully. Surprisingly, more easily than expected, the king did not decline. He accepted, and Ahbrigo told him that he would come back in three days with an army, ready for the ambush. Three days wasn't long enough.
The second place that he paraded into was a tad tougher to do. He had a much bloodier and more skillfull plan to get this place on his side. He snuck into the large city-state in the middle of the night, climbing the palace walls. He let himself into the hallway of top floor, tempted to "walk on the walls" just to show off. He crept into the king's room, passing the throne and coming to a stop where he slept. He slipped his dagger into the king, pulled it out, and shadily but calmly, walked out as if nothing ever happened. He slept outside the city walls that night after cleaning his dagger, letting the blood run into the river. The next morning, just before dawn, he heard cries of alarm. He suspiciously calmly walked back into the city, reassuring everyone that everything was under control. He assured all of them that they would all be okay and that he would treat them well. Under one case only though, and a very important one at that. They had to fight for him. The city unwillingly gave in, seeing no other way out. Ahbrigo had more of his army found. It was only one place away from being complete. This capturing would be much less gory, and a lot more peaceful. But either way, his army needed time to train, and more than anything, they simply needed to win this battle. With Ahbrigo, it was an all-or-nothing situation from the beginning of his time to the end. He allowed the city-state to stay within their walls, and appointed spies. He had a full day ahead of him, and only two days left until he needed to report back to the king of the Medes. One more city. One day of training. That was all. Would three days prove to be to short of a time to raise an army? Ahbrigo shook his head at the ridiculous thought as he walked out of the city and towards the next place in his stops. Nothing was impossible for him he reminded himself, and then he was back on track and ready to conquer the next place. Cocky as ever, he took the last few pawsteps towards Minneopa.
Standing on top of a ledge, Ahbrigo enuciated his voice. He literally screamed his lungs, and shutters of mud huts opened as well as doors. People began to surround him, stepping out to the curb around his platform. "I am the favored servant," he gasped for breath as he strained his voice to go higher; louder. Zeus, king god of the Greeks, and of all of you, has called upon me, and he has told me that I alone am his favored servant. He has commanded me to come here today, to lead you to strength and refuge, and to make you the new Persian Empire," he finished with his voice booming, happy that he could stop for a moment of breath away from the talking. Of course, none of this had really happened. Ahbrigo didn't believe in any of this nonsense gods and godesses things. How could it be that there were several supernatural beings? Was not his kind over the sky and the locusts? It made no sense to worship a speck, nor did it make any sense to worship a pest or something that you fear. But whatever these people would buy, he was happy with. As long as they listened to him when he began preparing the army, the chosen ones, for battle, and as long as their beliefs would change once he restarted his Persian Empire, it would all be good in his opinion. Murmurs swept through the crowd as man looked to man, and what few woman and children there were, looked to each other. How could this possibly be? Had the gods really sent them a new guy to care for them? To lead them to victory? They were such a small nation-state of people that they couldn't even call themselves a nation-state. These days, it was hard to call themselves a city-state. They had hardly any government, and it was not likely that they would be able to force the intruders out of their land that had been pestering them for so long. Heterodus, a respected man that enjoyed literature and "talked to the gods" was the first to bow his head and acknowledge their new ruler. "So be it," he said softly. And not long after his whisper rang through the city and the crowd cheered, Ahbrigo said, "Then let's go." He began to lead his new army to the first city he'd conquered. They'd train there indeed.
~~~
"No, no, no," said Ahbrigo, amazed at the man's stupidity and quite upset with him. A drop of sweat dripped off his brow, and his frustration showed clearly. "Hold it like this," he said, placing his paw on the spear and turning it around in his hand. He corrected how the warrior was holding it, then nodded his approval. He stepped away from the line-of-fire, and yelled, "حمله!" The men raised their spears slightly higher and threw them at trees and spots on the ground. They had the rest of today to train, and then, it was off to meet the king of Medes. He then would see the army that Ahbrigo had risen up and trained in three days, and he would confirm or deny the alliance. It was a big deal, and it was what Ahbrigo needed to be able to win. He had become stressed, seeing that some of the men lacked skill. He ran through everything that he'd been through, but didn't doubt himself for a second, as always, cocky.
The next, day, he led his army to the Medes.
"Ahbrigo," said the king, bending a tad and looking him right in the eye. "So nice to see you."
~~~
"Troepe, kom!," yelled the king in a high-pitched yelp. At a very fast pace, his army came to him, the tallest and strongest men in the front, the weakest in the middle, and the averagely skilled ones in the back. Ahbrigo nodded, clearly impressed. This army was well organized, and inwardly he applauded himself for successfully making allies with such a great king and a skilled army. This man obviously knew exactly what he was doing. The king looked to him, obviously waiting for him to call his troops to attention. Ahbrigo silently gulped, slightly tampered. He hadn't actually given them a command for "come here" or anything of the sorts. Because they'd been from a different city-state, he wasn't sure if they would know Persian fluently. Holding his breath, he let out a squeak of, "سربازان، بیا!", and they came to him all at once. He wasn't sure exactly how they knew to, but he hid his surprise well, and couldn't help but applaud himself again for choosing intelligent people.
The king had his army demonstrate a few things, and Ahbrigo would watch. Then, Ahbrigo's army in turn would return the favor of showing their skill. They'd go over the basics that Ahbrigo had taught them within a single day, and the stronger and more skilled man did a few solo sword drills and a bunch of high pitched battle cries. The king watched, his eyes burning, but not with wrath. This army could be just what he needed to lead him to victory, and Ahbrigo felt the same way about it. The king turned to Ahbrigo, looking down at him again. "Tonight, we attack," he said.
~~~
Ahbrigo crept through the undergrowth, looking for a gap into the village of the Greeks. The strong army of descendants of the Athenians, Spartans, and Thebes's town seemed to sleep along with the sun, and Ahbrigo carefully scanned their walls for any sorts of guards to catch him and cracks to get in. He crept up a vine, nearly defying gravity. He turned his back away from the army behind him, hiding in the dark, and whispered back, "Stay back. Once I'm in, everyone after me." He lured himself over, and soon they all lost sight of even the tip of his tail. The leaders under him heard a faint thump, likely signifying that he'd landed, on his feet of course as cats always do. They rushed up and over the vine, while some others found different paths to take. And no sooner than when they got over did they hear a great deal of banging and a few faint whistles. They rushed onward in the dark, clueless as to what was happening. Only one soul solemnly knew what had happened. Tears sprang to Ahbrigo's eyes. They knew that we were coming, he thought. But as suddenly as they'd come on, he'd blinked back his tears, and his eyes began to adjust to the darkness a tad better. He took out his sword and began fighting. Who knew that it was none other than the military leader, Bonhe, that he was fighting?
~~~
Ahbrigo left a trail in the dust with his hind legs as the others dragged him along. He struggled to free himself from their tight grasps every once in a while as they went on. He couldn't let himself be taken into captivity so easily! He had to fight for his freedom, just how he'd had to fight to free the world of the Greek's reign. For he wanted the reigning title himself, and this was a savory win for the Greeks. No, he couldn't just give up. He'd only go down with a fight. Several times he kicked up, and one of the times he aimed a tough blow to the man holding his right side's nose. "Ow," he wailed, loosening his grip. Ahbrigo made a reach for his dagger, still hidden in his belt. That was how he'd gotten all of his weapons and armor taken from him. Without any of it, he felt so bear. But greatest was one loss, the loss of his helmet. Or was it such a disgrace? He had wrath and mixed feelings towards that helmet. It had given him a thrill, but it had caused him the worst night of his life. The night that he discovered what defeat was. Alas, they neared a large building. It was dark and dreary, and it seemed as uninviting as practically possible. It was almost certain that that specific building had probably been around since long before the Hellenistic Age. Ahbrigo, making one last hard effort, swung his legs up. He pulled his arms down at the same moment, but the guards had had enough of his trickery. All was expected, and they tightened their grips on his arms. They swung him down. One spit on the floor, and muttered in a gruff, low voice, "That's enough from this one." The other nodded, and it seemed to Ahbrigo as if they were speaking a foreign language. What were they going to do with him? He sweated with the thought of his capturing as the reality slapped him in the face. All his pride, it was now long gone, turned only into shame. What would they do with him? What could they do with him? He was nearly sent to his knees, bawling, at the thought of the night's events. He'd gone so far, just to be shot down. He only hoped that his army could make do without him. For if he ever escaped the prison, the king which he'd allied with earlier would certainly have his head on a copper plate, needles through his eyes. Ahbrigo was a prisoner of war.
As the two swung Ahbrigo into the cold cell, he felt such sadness. For a writer like I cannot find words that could bear the sad tale of his loss. I couldn't find the right words to describe his overwhelming feelings of remorse, grief, self-pity, and wrath. He hated Greece with all of his heart. And most of all, he hated to admit that he despised himself. The frigid cell floor was damp with who knows what, and only got more wet with the tears of his eyes, his first tears, large and swollen, filled with the grief of a thousand men.
He fell. No man will ever be the same...
Diamond and Chaos Rule
End date
I have decided the End date will be August 31st
Raven, what's your favorite character?
I think that Wheatley would have to be my favorite character
Why are they your favorite character?
Wheatley is my favorite character for many reasons. He is based off one of my favorite video games, Portal/ Portal 2. I originally designed him for the simple fact that I fell in love with the rather odd, yet innocent sense of humor behind Wheatley in portal 2. Even when he went evil he still had some of the lamest puns I've ever heard in a game...and you gotta admit, any guy that has the nerve to shove glAdOS inito a potato deserves to have a character made!
Favorite piece of art of that character?
Well that Ties between 2.
Diamond
Diamond is based off of the Real life me mostly but is also based off how i am around family and people i dont know very well.
Her personality: Diamond is a shy and quiet dog. She likes to stay indoors where its warm/cool(Depending on the season). she loves the outdoors but stays inside because well, Shes terrified of bugs. Any bugs, spiders and bees mostly though. She will run and stay away from an area she saw a spider or bee in for hours even days. She loves to rough play with her brother Chaos and isnt girly at all aside from her fear of bugs. She often blames herself for everything and apoligizes way to offten, sometimes when theres no need. Diamond doesnt like to talk to people she doesnt know but will if she has too. Because of how shy she is, she doesnt have many friends and is most likly to be the 'outcast' at parties and such. This girl loves to swim, durning the summer shes always swimming, seeing as most bugs dont go near her when shes wet. Diamond, unlike her brother, dosent like to get dirty, she prefers to stay clean. She loves football but she mainly sits one the sidelines and watches.Her fear of being alone gets the best of her when shes away from her brother for to long. She fears he will leave and will not return. All in all Diamond is a shy but sweet girl.
and Chaos
Chaos is based off how i show myself online mostly but is also based off how i am around friends.
his Personality: Chaos is just how his name implies, Chaotic. He's the type that randomly jumps topics in a conversation, but still remembers where he left off on each topic and can pick it up without missing a beat. He's the type that's rough 'n tumble and always ready to stand up for what he believes is right, even if he's wrong. He's the gung-ho shoot first and ask questions later kind of guy that quite honestly just doesn't give a darn. Chaos is strong, loyal, fierce, and good-natured down to his very core which makes him a hard person to understand half of the time. But that doesn't mean that anyone should count him out. Just ask Diamond, they're always together.
What sorts of accessories do you like on characters?
KillerGramcracker <3 wrote:I really enjoy ear-rings and socks. Also the occasional facial accessory. Why? Because ear-rings are simple, as are socks. Facial, well, a little more difficult, but they look so sharp. You gotta love em'
