Yeah that's good. I've never seen those colors around here but they are very pretty :)

So guys I've got a question. I have a hamster that is black banded, and she has one little tan spot (it's only the size of a flea) on each of her sides. They are on the muscle on the back legs. Then, she has tan on her nose, that fades to black, because like I said, she's black banded. I've got a whole litter close to this. Some have white stomachs, with gray on top with the tan spot on both side as well. Do you know what this color is? I've never seen it before, not even in pictures.

Does she looks similar to this:

Image

If so, that's a pattern called Tortoiseshell, do you know her parents? It's only possible to be Tortoiseshell if there's Yellow on the line, this Hamster had a good pattern, but it was too dark and so, it was hidden, but some Hamsters with a bad Tortoiseshell pattern will only show it with a very few spots.
Also: Take a look at the babies with those spots, see if they are all females, this is a gene related to the gender, will only happen with females.

If there's no Yellow, then it can just be a bad example of the color black, good black Hamsters will stay black until they are old, some old black hamsters don't even start to show tan fur, that would be a very good black hamster though.

Edit: I almost forgot to say that the Banded Hamster should always have a white belly, so, that is pretty normal.

I meant that the ones with white stomachs aren't banded, their just "half and half" like I call them, lol. I don't think they have yellow in their line. I haven't seen such little specks on them before. I would show you a picture if I knew how to upload it from a iPod. There are 7 females and 3 males, and everyone has the spots. I'm quite confused with this coloring 0.0 Also on the dove-banded (Most people say Cinnamon-banded don't they? I've always said Dove banded, haha.) Anyway, it has its regular coloring until you get to her nose, then it turns a golden color.

Can you acess tinypic or imageshack on a iPod? If so, I guess you can upload there, sorry if not, it's just... I never had an iPod or similar, so, I'm very ignorant on this matter.

What do you mean by half and half? Half litter is banded and the other half not?
Some white markings on the belly, neck and nose are allowed on the self variety (black is self), not too much though, like, all the belly, I guess I'll never be able to tell you without a photography.

Cinnamon is very different from Dove, Dove is self, Cinnamon is agouti, but they both are related though, Cinnamon is a mutation, Dove is a combination between two mutations, the Cinnamon and the Black, so yeah, the Dove is related to the Cinnamon and Black, Dove is actually my favourite color.

This is a Dove:

(Ignore the white fur, it's the pattern banded)

And this is a Cinnamon:

The Cinnamon girl I found is also Umbrous, so, it's normal the difference and she is a bad example of the color, this photography is one of the bests I've seen, amazing agouti markings.

Sorry I'm confusing you, lol. I'm not sure. I'll try though. Give me a little bit and I'll see if I can get it. I meant, if you have a hamster that is dove colored, but banded, would you call it a dove-banded? That's always what I call them. My other girl isn't Cinnamon banded then, judging by the picture. She must be golden banded. I'll try to get a pic of her too. What I mean by "half and half" is that 3 of the babies are white bellied, with gray on the top, not banded. They have the white coming up under their chin and sides, like the cinnamon. Very pretty coloring of that cinnamon in the picture.

EDIT:

This is the one I'm interest in.
Image
Same here.
Image
This is the one I call ''half and half'' does you see the specks?
Image
And this is the one that I think is Golden banded?
Image
Just those I'd post these for the heck of it.
Babies that lost their mom.
Image
My baby who passed not long ago.
Image
The mom that drowned.
Image
The mother of the ones at the top.

I've got more but I'm sure y'all don't have a full page of pictures, haha.

I'll quote the photos with the names of their colors.

This is the one I'm interest in.
Image
This baby is a Golden Banded, it seems too dark and it's agouti markings are suspicions, who is the father? The baby seems Umbrous by the darker color and agouti markings.

Same here.
Image
This one is indeed a Cinnamon Banded.
This is the one I call ''half and half'' does you see the specks?

Image
This one is another Golden, it looks darker as well, but I can't see it's markings.

And this is the one that I think is Golden banded?

Image
Yes, that's a Golden Banded, no Umbrous on this one.

Just those I'd post these for the heck of it.
Babies that lost their mom.
Image
Mink and Sable, I'm sorry about them.
My baby who passed not long ago.
Image
Little Sable, I'm so sorry about him as well...
The mom that drowned.
Image
Mink, I'm also sorry about her...
The mother of the ones at the top.

Image
It's indeed a Black Banded, if the father is not a Umbrous, then she may be, Umbrous can't be carried, which means that one of the parents have to be Umbrous to get Umbrous babies, but not sure if the first baby is really a Umbrous, it can just have bad agouti markins.

I wouldn't mind at all, but it would get heavy, but maybe on the next page you can post some more.

How I miss my litters after this... :(

Sables in other words are Umbrous Black-Eyed Cream, so yeah, the first baby is probably a Umbrous then.
Minks and Dove look a like when they are young, after the 4th month the Minks will get lighter than the Doves.
I've had both colors on the same litter:

Image

Right side - Dove
Left Side - Mink
