I would use food. Put a sunflower seed or something in your palm and put your hand next to her. She'll probably step on. I don't know about the nipping though, I have dwarf hamsters (not regular) and they don't nip.

oh shes familiar with me she takes food and puts her front paws on me but she wont walk onto my hand and let me pick her up

Those are dwarfs, but not chinese dwarfs. Chinese dwarfs have a bit of a longer body... /: Possibly Russian or winterwhite or??
Fiddle- I've had three dwarves and they all lived about a year and a half. My syrians lived between 2 and 3.5 years. The oldest(almost three and a half years) was moved from New Jersey to Colorado by car with us. xD
Generally, hamsters are not that expensive. Although petsmart hamsters (from what I've seen) have some temperment issues. I'd buy from a local pet store if they have nice hamsters there.

Speaking of local pet stores and hamsters. I saw the cutest white teddybear hamster there the other day. I wanted him so bad. But my mom said that she doesn't want any more hamsters.
