Got a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble for an early Christmas present...
Does anyone have any good Historical Fiction recommendations? I pretty much love all time periods of all countries xD

Beware, Queen Elisabeth is a good one. I read it a few months ago, so I forget what it's called, but...

I'm on a semi-hiatus, but would be willing to come back
full time for a good RPG.
I'll look at anything, but I prefer
animals, and I won't do Hunger Games/Divergent, anything
supernatural, or anything where the main point is romance.
I've done Warrior cats and Camp Half-Blood RPGs quite a
few times, including hosting my own on another site, but I
would prefer not to do either of those RPGs again. I might
instead be interested in a Hogwarts RPG, or maybe something
based in WW1 or WW2. I'm probably semi-literate, but please,
nothing below that. (And I like RPing male characters, if
you're in need of any.)

So, have an RPG suggestion? Or maybe a trade? Or just
wanna message me? Please, don't hesitate! (;

@Dexter
Funny you should mention that, I actually read it last month xD I didn't finish it, because it was overdue and I didn't have time, but what I read of it was good. I shall give it another look.

I hate it when I have to give a book back that I didn't finish. Like Mark of Athena. It doesn't help that I get a lot of books out from the library at the same time. Like when I got almost of the BOB books out at the same time.

Has anyone heard of the Healing Wars series?

@Divergent
No, what's it about? The title sounds interesting- almost like an oxymoron

@Dexter's Gal
I love your signature, that movie/book was so sad but it was excellent :3

Electra: It's about a world where people can heal and put the pain into a special metal called pynvium. There's an evil Duke in it (since I can't think of anything else to say that wouldn't give away the plot). The first book is called The Shifter, the second book is called Bluefire, and the third book, which I'm reading at the moment, is called Darkfall. ^^

    @ Electra - Oh, thank you! The book is a masterpiece, and the movie was very, very good!
    (I cried while reading, and when I saw the movie. :cry: )

Average amount of time it takes you to finish a book: I don't know. Some books I read in a few hours, some books I read bits at a time over a period of months. It varies a lot!
How many of the above symptoms you regularly experience: All except the book quote thing. Not a big fan of quoting anything in conversation, especially since my friends aren't as big readers as I am.

Re: The Biblomaniac Army (booklovers, UNITE!) v.2

Hullo! 've suffered a book windfall recently, as Christmas has just passed (although "suffered" mightn't be the word of choice). And, I was thinking to ask a few questions about some of my new children belongings. Firstly: Has anyone here read Game of Thrones (or anything else in the Song of Ice and Fire series)? If so, what did you think of the book/series? I'm only a couple hundred pages in at the moment, and I'm quite enjoying it, aside from the (in my eyes) rather gratuitous descriptions of... graphic events.
As well, are there any Neil Gaiman fans around? I've recently become absolutely enamoured with his writing style and creativity, and so find myself in possession of three of his short story collections, and Anansi Boys. (I read Neverwhere a few months ago, and positively adored it. His children's books -namely Coraline and The Graveyard Book, are fantastic as well.)
And, lastly: opinions on short story anthologies? Yay or nay?

Thanks! c:
