While complex designs are really beautiful, I do prefer simple designs because they are easier to draw and get art of, and also more memorable to me [as in, not needing a ref for the design] ovo

Complex enough to be unique but simple enough to draw. There are few things (art-wise) that I dislike more than having to look at a ref every five seconds because the design is so complex

Simple simple simpleee. Complex designs can look awesome, but often they're too 'cluttered' in my eyes.

It sort of depends. Some complex designs are really beautiful, while others are too much. Then, with simple characters, some are also pretty while others are easily something that could be copied on accident, or stolen. I usually prefer more simple designs, as long as their still unique and not something that's been done a million times before.

In the middle? I like simple designs, but I like ones with something that makes them slightly more complex. :>
