I do that when I'm just browsing bookstores, but I find a lot of books in my own house, and I show my parents and there like "read it it's good!"

@Team_Dobby, have you read the last dragon chronicles by Chris D'lacey? There's 7 of them so it would keep you busy. :)

OHMYGOD THERE ARE MORE BOOKS IN THE LAST DRAGON CHRONICLES?!?!?

How did I not know this? I love those books when I was younger. I thought they were done after The Fire Eternal. You don't know how wonderful you have made my day <3

On another note, I'm attempting Ender's Game again. I didn't like it so I stopped after the first chapter, but I'm determined to try again, because everyone is telling me to.

I think it is kind of impossible to not judge a book by its cover. The cover is what draws you to the book, so (in my oppinion) it is the first think you judge about the book c:

No, I haven't ^_^ I'll look them up though *dragons o3o*

Its about a guy (Can't remember his name!) and he goes to a welsh island where strange things happen. I'm quite bad at explaing plot lines of books unless I say everything! But the best part is the pictures, they're very creepy and really add to the book!

@Wolf
Sounds interesting!

House of Hades is out! Has anyone else read it? I haven't managed to get it yet, but hopefully I'll get it at the library. The series as a whole hasn't impressed me very much but I'm curious to see how it ends.

Woo! The New PJATO book is out >o<
{I totally just saw this on the last post, after writing this xD}
I FINALLY HAVE SOMETHING TO READ!

I do agree, though, not as good as the original PJATOs. I don't like how the characters changed :/ And Jason seems like another Percy to me. I think the only one who didn't change too much is Nico.

And The Fiery Heart is coming out soon, we've preordered it on the Nook already :D

So...haven't posted here in what seems like forever. :) My mom took me to a local used book store today, and she most graciously bought me books 2-5 of the Levin Thumps series as well as the first book in the Kane Chronicles. XD Now all I need are the rest of the books in those series and I own them all... *contented sigh* Don't you guys love that awesome feeling you get when you finally read and/or own all of one series of books? X)

Tough question.

Yes and no. Yeah, if the book cover looks stupid I'm less likely to pick it up and read the back - but I picked up "The Frog Princess" all those years ago, and I hated the book cover, but loved the book. :) To this day I love the book. But the cover still isn't the best, in my opinion.
So...it's iffy, for me. It depends upon the situation - if I like the cover of course I'll pick up the book to look into it, but sometimes even if I don't like the cover I'll still pick it up and look into it. :)

I've finally ventured (rather unwillingly) back into the land of YA fiction. I've read quite a few for school recently. I think the best known of them are Ashes, by Ilsa Bick(?); Legend, by Marie Lu; and Divergent by Veronica Roth (?). They're been pretty good, but I am seriously wondering: why must every single YA book with a female main character involve romance? Why?
