My Cannonthingy (some of you already read it. btw, I need name help.)
Discord was not who he is now. He was a prince; Prince (Name Here), to be exact. He and Celestia fell in love, blah blah blah. But it just so happened that the Prince was cursed. Every time he did something wrong, out of anger or otherwise, he would become more distorted; more corrupted, in appearance and mentally. Neither of them knew this. Not even the Prince himself.
In between this time, Celestia and (Name Here) had brought up two daughters, now known to you as Derpy Hooves and Screwball. Those names, of course, weren't theirs in the past. Back then, they were (Name Here) and (Name Here). Oddly enough, they were born pegasi, and thus could not take up the throne. They did not mind, as they were instead assigned weather ponies (this was the origin of weather ponies). Like their mother, who raised the sun, they raised the clouds and commanded the lightning to come, and they were happy.
Sadly, their daughters had inherited Prince (Name Here's) curse. So if (Name Here) was to boss a pony around during weather patrol, it would happen-transformation. It got so horrible, they eventually had to wear masks to hide their twisted faces and brand-new claws, and, over time, began to torture the crew. Princess Tia saw what was happening to her kingdom, and had to banish her family to stone (although Derpy managed to break free with her muffin powers).
Think. When she sent Luna away, wouldn't she have been so lonely? All of her family, gone...everyone she once loved or still loved.
Technically what I'm saying is, if this were true, would you obbesess over Luna less often?...

I can't wait to see the new episode. c: From it's formatting, I can tell it's going to be more of an adventure-based episode. And remember those pics of Ponyville where the whole town was completely deserted and battered up? I'm pretty sure those will be for this episode. LIKE A BAWS.
