You have it in one of the Pokémon slots then run around like crazy! It will hatch eventually.

The best way to do so is to use a bike and go in a town, in the town just peddle around it until it hatches.

also, if you have a pokemon with the ability flame body (i like to use my magcargo with this ability) in your party the eggs hatch faster!!

Also, having a Pokemon with the ability Magma Armor or Flame Body in the slot next to your egg halves the amount of steps you need to take. But yes, all there is to hatching an egg is walking a whole bunch. If you're going to use a bike in X and Y, my recommendation for the city is Cyllage City, it has a lot of open space, perfect place for cycling. A good place to use the Roller Skates is the Shalour City Gym

All you have to do to hatch an egg is to carry it with you and walk around. Once you reach a certain number of steps, the egg will hatch. The strategies being mentioned here are just ways to speed up the process; if you wanted you could just keep the egg with you as you play through the game normally and eventually it will hatch. If you wish to hatch the egg more quickly ...

• Have a Pokemon with Flame Body or Magma Armor in your party (not sure if it has to be next to the egg or not, but you might want to put it there just in case.) That will decrease the number of steps you need to take for each egg.
• Find a long, straight path you can go up and down repeatedly without a lot of effort. I haven't tried to hatch anything in ORAS yet and spend most of my time in Y, so I don't really know which Hoenn routes work best. I'm sure you can get a recommendation from someone else here, or you can just look around and find a good route yourself.
• Use a bicycle. You might want to go with the slightly faster one, but which bike you use does not really matter; the point is that is makes you go a lot faster and therefore take more steps in less time than walking/running.

It's just that I got an egg from some old lady in Lavaridge town and I really wanna know what it is hah

The Mach bike is faster imo..
I'm gonna try to go and hatch it later though..
Does anyone know what it would hatch into?

It's either a Wynaut or a Togepi.
And yeah, you should try the Mach bike since it's faster and thus takes less time.
A really good area to go to is the Battle Resort, since there's a way to infinitely loop around on there, perfect for hatching eggs, but I don't think you've been there yet. Try the route left/west of Mauville City? I believe there's a rather long path there. Or right above Rustboro—you'd need to either have Surf or come out from Meteor Falls, though.
I'm not so sure about the last two locations, but just walk around and see what's best for you.

AND ATTENTION ANYONE WITH OR/AS: THE DIANCIE EVENT IS GOING TO END. You can get a free Diancie (you can't get it in normal play) on your copy of OR/AS by downloading via mystery gift over the Internet. It's set to end tomorrow, I believe, so be sure to get it ASAP!
