possible amazing and impressive theory that sounds awesomeMy take on this theory is that CAL could be trying to get River back. I mean, we all love River and the Doctor is married to her and it's just so hard to think they're basically over now (story wise). Imagine if River came back, due to this amazing idea of CAL = Clara. Maybe Moffat is trying to focus our attention on Clara, rather than what Clara could be 'doing'. I mean, Clara's story is already hurting the brains of Whovians everywhere, and I can only imagine it will get worse, aha.^it looks like I didn't write much but it's like a whole paragraph about this theory c:
Oh yeah

That was on my dash.
It makes a lot of sense, but...
Cal's name isn't Clara, and how did she get out of the Library? Would that mean that the Doctor has been in the Library since Asylum or earlier? Too many inconsistencies, but then again there are people who believe that Rory is the Master so I guess anything goes.
I've seen this theory bouncing about, but I think it is highly unlikely.
I've also heard she could have more to do with being a fixed point in time. It seems like a more possible option. But still equally unlikely, because she doesn't come right back when she dies. My personal theory is she is a thought, a thought that has so much power she has a physical form. Possibly a physical form of a thought that is meant to destroy the Doctor? In any case, so far it fits, because you can't actually "kill" a thought, although a "thought" can be thought dead(as would be the case in the Snowmen). As for Asylum of the Daleks, she was never actually seen dying so she could technically be thought of as both alive and dead(Schrodinger's cat). That's my theory, anyway.

Something that could be interesting to think of is that it's been said that The Doctor and Clara's relationship is less of the 'let's go and have fun in the universe' [like the other companions] and more of them trying to figure each other out and as something additional and kind of interesting the actress who played Clara before she was cast as a companion was actually slated to be on the show as a Mary-Poppins-esque villain, but as we saw in the Christmas special they ended up incorporating the Mary Poppins theme into her character as a companion... It makes you wonder if they incorporated any of their other thoughts from when she was just going to be on as a villain x)
