I have no clue. It WAS working, I downloaded some cc off of tsr, and tumblr. then I clicked play and it said my game files were missing or broken, I pressed repair game but it did nothing

Have you tried a cc conflict detector? I use http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=572482 (offsite, MTS) If you aren't comfortable using a rather confusing then I suggest you go through it by hand. Delete package one by one until you find out which is messing up your game.
Going by hand is much more time consuming but more efficiant, cc conflict detectors take less chance but have a higher chance of not working by around 5.3% I think.

I'm too scared to add mods, the last time I added mods to a game it totally screwed the game up and I'm far into my sims game :p

^^that's good advice. I always keep regular backups of my game saved and updated frequently even when I'm playing without mods, since EA has proven itself to be buggy and have some crappy costumer service. >_>
I was pretty scared to try out mods at first but now, I can't play without them. Aside from a couple weird invisible sim glitches caused by bad CC (which was all easy to fix), I haven't had any issues caused by them. In fact, every single game breaking glitch I've had was due to the unmodded game - my game actually runs better with the mods I've got because 50% are intended to fix EA's messes.

I know! For The Sims 3, Twallan's mods are a lifesaver!

definitely! I could hardly play until I got overwatch and debugger because the lag from glitched/stuck sims was so bad.
