What's the favorite fan character you own (if any)?

This guy hands down. Ace is my main character and is in a great many universes however this is the original one. I made Ace about 5-6 years ago as a really terrible copy of a character belonging to my favorite Transformers Fanfic-writer (and she still is) but over time Ace developed a personality of his own and is probably my most well developed and unique character. I absolutely adore him!

He's completely extroverted to the point where he has an intense phobia of being alone. He's super sweet and childlish, his main goal in life is to make other people happy and would do anything to make that so (he actually owns a pink tutu he wears to get smiles). But in addition to that, he's very naive and gullible, trusting everyone over and over even after they've done horrible things to him. He's overly-sensitive and easily hurt. Lucky he has a very big, very protective mate to keep him safe.

Do your fan character haves a role on the original story of the game/series/book/etc or are they just design-based?
No he doesn't, the design is just based off Cybertronians/Transformers but he's entirely unique. I've also kept him separate from any cannon plot lines apart from a few cameos (though I still avoid all interaction with cannon characters). I'm not a big fan of cannon relationships and usually steer clear of characters who live with/spend time with cannon characters. It's just not my thing.

What types of posts here on CAAA catch your attention? Long posts, short posts, posts with more texts or images?
Questions usually spark my interest and character development things especially, I just love that sort of thing and could talk for ages on it. I like seeing art here whatever it may be though I tend to ignore advertisements unless I'm specifically looking to adopt characters. I love seeing art people get of their characters since it tends to lead me to more wonderful artists.

Also people who reply to others specifically get my attention, it really really annoys me when people don't reply to others since then people get ignored and buried, usually among ads and that irritates me to no end.

Why is it that most artists like to draw art for others but seem to always want others to draw art of their own characters? Why do you prefer to not draw art for yourself?
Hmmmm I think it's because there's something really lovely about receiving art from other people, even if you've commissioned it yourself. It's lovely seeing your character in other styles and getting gorgeous pieces of art for a collection. In addition, as an artist I think most will agree that it's really easy to criticize and pick apart your own artwork, you see the flaws in it and the more you look, the unhappier you get with it. But with someone else's, you don't have that, even if there's a flaw, you can't change it, you can't improve on it since it's not your work so you just accept it. You don't get that sense of dissatisfaction.

have you ever paid way more than you probably should have for a character you adore? do you regret it?
Hahaha not really no since I'm quite stingy when it comes to these things..whoops XD Whenever I get characters, I tend to do design trades with other artists or adopt a cheaper adopt that I can build and improve upon. I think people greatly underestimate what someone can do with 'low quality characters'. People look over the newer artists who haven't developed their skill when sometimes they can make the most unique adopts, and even though they might not be the best artist, drawing that character in your own style can produce something really lovely.

who's your favourite out of every single char you've adopted?
Hmmmm..... That's hard... It would usually be Ace but I created him myself and requested his design... But I honestly can't say, all the adopted characters I have I just love very much. Most of the ones that get the most development are ones that were traded or given to me mostly by a good friend of mine on DA, but all in all, I love every one of them.

have you ever regretted buying/adopting/creating a char?
Not really no, I've only ever regretted not being able to give them the love they deserve and have had to give them away again. As I said, I don't adopt characters often so if I do, It's a very thought out decision.

pfffttt, yes ;u; For obvious reasons, I spoil my fursona much more than any of my characters.
In fact, she is the only character I own that I feel hopelessly compelled to drawing. With my other characters I have to get into the mood to draw them.

I already showed my bbys off, but i really want to share Cap Hilton's personality XD

Cap is your average fan-girl. She absolutely loves Captain America, and just coincidentally, Cap was named Cap in honor of Captain America when he was presumed dead after crashing in the Ice. She's a comic-book and trading card geek, and absolutely loves to watch movies about Captain America. Did I mention she can Universe jump? Yep! Cap can switch from two universes. One which The Avengers is a movie, and the other where the movie is real life!

What would your fancharacters do if they woke up in the real world?
Cap already does half the time, and my other characters would just freak the heck out in all the individual ways that they would.

What's the favorite fan character you own (if any)?
Not counting my fursonas, probably Koru.
I don't even remember how I afforded The WhiteFireRaven to design me a custom character, but I just love him so much ;u;

Why is it that most artists like to draw art for others but seem to always want others to draw art of their own characters? Why do you prefer to not draw art for yourself?
I literally like to make people happy. I know how happy I get when I get art, so I do what I can to make other people feel the same way. Which is mainly why I have like nothing when it comes to buying art for my bbys on here and definitely not on DA, cause I try to keep the cost for my art low so a lot of people have the chance to get art. Which sometimes gets me down cause then after I work on a piece for an hour or two and post it, no one likes it, and sometimes even the people who commission me just say 'thanks' and say nothing about my work and never post it here on CAAA(when I know they are an active member) but I see them post artwork the same day I gave them the one I made, but the ones they post are simply better art than mine. I still keep my chin up and keep my prices relatively low, but it hurts knowing me, and artist like me, don't get the respect we ask for for all the hard work we do.

whoops, I just ranted. ^^;

I also just love to see my bbys drawn by other people cause it gives them a little uniqueness compared to just being drawn by me over and over again.
