Sierra weighs over 92 pounds! :o Is this obese, should I be worried?

I'm not sure, but Sam used to weigh 107 pounds 6 months ago, now he weighs about 90-95. If I can remember right, our vet said he needed to weigh around...eighty pounds? Don't quote me on that though.
Also, we went on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks recently and Sammy went BESERK when we got back. Just shows how much he really loves us. <3

It depends. That's much heavier than the standard, but a lot of Goldens seem to vary quite a bit in size. Do you have a stacked side-view photo of her?

How do I take a side-stack photo? I got home and felt Sierra she only seems like a pound or two overweight, but she's not an agility or sports dog or anything, and our scale is only the size of a shoe box so I couldn't really hold sierra.

How do I take a side-stack photo? I got home and felt Sierra she only seems like a pound or two overweight, but she's not an agility or sports dog or anything, and our scale is only the size of a shoe box so I couldn't really hold sierra.

Put Sierra in a stand-stay (or have someone holding a treat in front of her if she keeps turning to look at you or whoever has the camera), and take a side shot. Like this:


(Not the best stacked pic but you get the idea. XD I had the camera at a bit of an angle. In order to get the best effect, the dog's feet should be squared, the camera should be level with the dog's shoulders and aimed straight on at the middle of their body.Your dog should be looking ahead.)
I like Dixie to be at a healthy weight, in order to lower the risk of early hip or joint problems, and I just like her to be fit. c: She's lost so much muscle tone over the winter though. DX I can't wait for warm weather!

How is this? I know it's not very good but we don't have anything but a wobbly phone camera. I see that Dixie is a lot skinnier than Sierra. I also took Sierra on a long walk yesterday, leaving to take her on another today.

It's a little hard to tell from the angle, but I think she could maybe stand to lose a pound or two. I wonder, would it be possible for you to take a pic of her from straight above? So we can see her waistline. c:
You might ask your vet for an opinion next time she goes in for weighing, shots, or something.
