I'm a distopian fan as well, so I figured I'd like it. But I don't want it to be another... well, Twilight, I guess. I guess I'll give it a read over Winter Break.
Trust me, it's not another Twilight. :3 When you take away the romance of the Matched trilogy, there is still an enthralling plot.
Ooh, wonderful. I like a bit of romance, but I still need a good plot. It sounds really good. Now I can't wait to start reading it!

Looking for these flowers:

Oh, I've read Matched! =D And Crossed, the sequel. It's pretty good in my opinion, though it's more about Cassia's love interest in Ky and Xander then it is about the actual dystopian world, so if romance isn't your thing, you might find it pretty boring.

I recently have come across a book series/movie which I'm starting to obsess over c: It's called Felidae, and it's about a cat named Francais who moves to a new neighborhood only to find that many of the other cats there have suffered gruesome murders. WARNING: The animation has a LOT of gore, blood, and swearing in it so I would highly recommend you don't watch it unless you're okay with seeing some adult content. You can Google it if you're interested, but I don't want to post a direct link on a family site like CS xP
So anyways, not only is there one book based on Felidae; there's a whole series! =D I really want to read them, since I love mysteries and cats, but there's one giant problem...
It's in German. -.-
Does anyone else know where I would be able to find an English translated version of these books? I would reallllyyyy appreciate it <3

I don't know if any of you guys have read the Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, but I was wondering if anyone else has thought of this/has the answer to it?
My little brother and I were watching the Twin Towers from the LotR trilogy, and we started to talk. Legolas is the Elven Prince of the Woodlands. Why was he allowed to go on the quest? :S
Just an errant thought. ^_^

Top Ten Favourite Books:(not in order as to absolute favourite; however #1 is in fact my absolute favourite book)
1- The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair
2- Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Titan's Curse
3- Ella Enchanted
4- Prisoner of Dieppe
5- The Chronicles of Narnia: The Horse and His Boy
6- The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie
7- Seekers: An Unexpected Journey
8- Warriors: Into the Wild (and quite a few others in the Warriors series)
9- The Chronicles of Narnia: The Last Battle
10- The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician's NephewAverage amount of time it takes you to finish a book:It depends on the book; if the book is one of those little Scholastic ones, it can be anywhere from 20 minutes to a day and a half, because I tend to only read at night.
The average page number for the books I read, though, is about 350, and that can take anywhere from a day to a week, or maybe longer, depending on how well I like it, how much time I have, and how easy it is to get through. How many of the above symptoms you regularly experience:You incessantly spice up conversation with book quotes.
If I think of them, I use them.
You sit in the back of the movie theater whispering "That's not what happened in the book!" to whatever random stranger happens to be sitting next to you.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
You bring a book to lunch most days.
Well, I'm homeschooled, so I don't go to a cafeteria to eat lunch, or go out to lunch often, but I always have a book with me. Whether wedding, funeral, car trip, friend's house, or ... whatever!
You get so caught up in whatever book you happen to be reading that you a) laugh, b) cry, c) scream at the book, and/or d) throw the book at the wall because you hate how it ended.
I do laugh, although I have never cried; almost, though. I don't scream at it but I can get quite annoyed at plot or characters.
However, I never throw my books, or do anything that could hurt them. I believe in respecting them by keeping them is the best shape that I can.
You read so late into the night that you lose track of time, and end up staying up till like three AM.
With the best or reads, many a time.
You've read a book cover to cover in one sitting.
Ha ha! An uncountable number of times, especially when I'm ill and spend my whole day in bed with nothing but books.
You've fallen in love with a fictional character.
Yes. Of course I have.
I'm on a semi-hiatus, but would be willing to come back
full time for a good RPG. I'll look at anything, but I prefer
animals, and I won't do Hunger Games/Divergent, anything
supernatural, or anything where the main point is romance.
I've done Warrior cats and Camp Half-Blood RPGs quite a
few times, including hosting my own on another site, but I
would prefer not to do either of those RPGs again. I might
instead be interested in a Hogwarts RPG, or maybe something
based in WW1 or WW2. I'm probably semi-literate, but please,
nothing below that. (And I like RPing male characters, if
you're in need of any.)
So, have an RPG suggestion? Or maybe a trade? Or just
wanna message me? Please, don't hesitate! (;

I never really thought of that... maybe it's because his father was the King of the Silven Elves (wood elves) but Legolas himself isn't actually a Silven elf?
I don't think they ever go over anything like that but it could be the 'mixed blood' that caused that /= (Although if the elves had an issue with that why did they have Thranduil, Galadriel or Celeborn as their rulers?)
That's an interesting question to think about though ^.^ You could easily push it away with the explanation of 'Elven culture is different' but it's interesting to think of background reasoning :3
