What would you do if you were almost finished with a commission and the commissioner approached you saying they'd sold the character and want to you draw a new one? Would you draw them a whole new piece of art or just apologize and ask for payment anyway?
Their fault for selling, not yours. They have no right to ask for a new piece after you've already started because they decided to sell.

Yeah seriously, don't throw all of your time and work away because they chose to sell the character they commissioned work of.

It came to mind when I was thinking about if I had anyone I needed to gift;and found my mind wandering to a few specific characters and their owners when I was considering CAAA people I needed to draw things for~

Thats a tough one; to be honest I have to go with everyone else; they're the ones who messed up and you shouldn't redo the art
If its repairable(ect still on different layers/you could just recolor it; then maybe offer to recolor it if they have a similar species character?it would depend on how unusual the first character was, I think. but I wouldn't redo it.

They paid for a commission of a specific character, they will get the commission of that character. It is abuse of the artist to expect them to redraw a whole new piece because they got tired of the old character. If they were just asking to see if you had started, just politely inform them that you're already almost done, and can not change character. I would not even recolor for them without an additional fee because (as everyone else is saying) it's their fault for selling, not yours.

Still have 1 code (technically 2 but I am saving 1 for my SS!) LMK if you're interested for pets, characters, or art.

Also I'm seeking to buy a couple of males to breed with Suzume, must be cats or catlike or cat hybrid. I prefer low quality or cheap characters because I really just want them for breeding purposes but I will consider paying more so feel free to show me anything. I can pay in anything from DA points to FR currency and everything in between - if you have something specific in mind just ask.

Its getting late, ugh, I should so go to bed but instead I'm looking at all your amazing characters.

Does anyone have any characters for sale designed by Deerborne on DA? They've been one of my favourite artists for a while but I can't seem to find any characters by them, will look at anything but the design must be by them.
