Thank you for the reminder! Here I was thinking it was done by Christmas (first year participating). Either way I'm glad to have reached my personal goal of gifting at least 50 people

I have realized Holibombs does not really math that well. most people with the holibomb thingy in their SIG have gifted much more than they have received. so where do all the gifts go? pretending they gifted everybody they were gifted by, something has to happen to the excess.

This is the first year I've done holibombs in... quite some time, and I am pleased to say it's just as enjoyable as I remember it being! I'd totally be down for a gift war if someone else is, I haven't done one of those in YEARS

Would you rather have a snowy holiday or a tropical holiday getaway, and why?

Honestly, I wish we had snow this year. I miss seeing snow and it always makes me happy. Realistically, it would suck having snow as I have to work all week, but one can dream.

My spouse and I are going on a not-quite-holiday tropical getaway early in January though, so there's that.

Probably a tropical getaway, i've grown up witha snowy christmas so I feel I can go a year without it for some fun at the beach lol

I mean - you don't automatically get a gift back (which is totally fine!), there are a lot of ppl playing holibombs and e.g. if you spend your day sending a holibomb to nearly everyone on that list will - of course - give you a higher "gift sent" number than "gift received".
Not everyone playing is active 24/7 or has the capacity/time to send out limitles gifts.

I, for example, send out gifts to non-players as well.

I’m not a holibomber (don’t have enough fodder for it rn unfortunately, next year hopefully!) but I have gotten gifts this year from numerous holibombers, so that’s probably why. From what I know, holibombs are for the CS community on the whole as opposed to exclusively fellow participants - it’s not intended to ‘math well’ so much as it’s meant to be spreading positivity for the holidays.
