People buy sprites usually because they're aiming to complete their bestiary c:
If you're not aiming to do that then unless you really like how it looks/feel like getting the sprite that represents your flight I can't really think of another reason why to be honest (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)
Apart from maybe as an investment since presumably prices are only going to go up from here
