Well, for Pinkie x Braeburn, try to imagine a "welcome to Apple-loosa" party, hosted by the two of them. That's a pretty good start to seeing the common ground.

Someone please explain PinkiexBraeburn and FlimxTwi. I dont get jow they make sense

I ship them based on a fanfiction I read that I absolutely loved! (And I don't like a lot of fanfiction. I'm just...not a fan of a lot of it.) The fanfiction focuses on Braeburn, who mentions to Applejack that he doesn't have a special somepony. Applejack listens to Braeburn, and decides to give him a date - one every day for five days. The only catch? Each night he must go out with one of the mane six (excluding Applejack, of course)! During the course of the fanfic, you find out some similarities between Pinkie Pie and Braeburn. It is because of these similarities that I ship them. X) The fanfic made me smile and laugh; it had a LITTLE bit of romance - really, nothing worse than a first, unsuccessful date - and I loved it. And if I love it, you KNOW it's got to be good, as I don't even LIKE romance novels. Ask ANYPONY who knows me - I LOATHE romance novels, especially teen ones (which is probably why I disliked the first two books in the "Twilight" series). The fanfiction is called "Braeburn's Dating Bonanza". For any of you grammar freaks like me, you WILL notice there are a couple words here and there spelled incorrectly, or other small grammatical errors, but overall, it's a fun and easy read. : ) Check it out!

On the Flim and Twilight ship . . .
I think it's because they're both tactical unicorns. They both are incredibly smart and have a brother. Sure, Twilight may dislike him now, but he probably will be one of the only unicorns who can actually use magic skillfully. Sure, there might be a few, but most of them are female. Plus, it's one of the only, (if not the third) unicorn stallion that actually had a speaking part and important in an episode. People usually ship Twi with Comet Tail, which doesn't make much sense because not only is he a background pony but only was with Twi one. (And that was here.)

My OTPs would have to be Lyra x Bon Bon, Discord x Celestia, Derpy x Doctor Whooves / Time Turner, Big Mac x Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash x Soarin', and Cadance x Shining Armor. Normally, I wouldn't want to ship the Mane Six together, but I guess I could also say Rarijack and Flutterdash as well. x3
